It did not take long for the gas gouging to begin this year, even with almost one in every ten Americans unemployed at this time my local gas stations took the opportunity yesterday to raise their gas prices .20 cents in the afternoon as compared to the mornings price. Nothing will kill what little economic recovery we are seeing like the ferocious face of gas and oil price gouging. Some will say this is not gouging but I seen a gas station raise its price .15 cents in the morning two days ago and the station across the street raise its price only .05 cents, guess what? The gas station that raised their price .15 cents dropped it back .10 by the afternoon, and you want to tell me this is based on fair pricing. This same gas station raised their price .24 cents yesterday when everyone else raised theirs just .15 cents, and guess what? That same station then dropped their price back .10 cents today. All this begs the question, “Are we still being taken advantage of by big oil and plentiful greedy gas stations?” It’s ridiculous that oil prices are what the yare when consumption is so low and our economy in such bad shape. I say we should not tax oil and gas but instead tax heavily oil and gas futures, which will slow the run-up and definitely control our fuel prices in the correct manner. It’s not to early to start contacting your local Attorney General and advise him of your upsetness with the quickly rising price of gas and oil, you should also avoid all gas stations which jump their prices to try and gouge you a little. And if you do have to stop there then do nothing more than buy your gas, do not buy anything else in the station store. It’s bad enough to have gas and oil companies take advantage of us when things are humming along but it is unthinkable to have them take advantage of us when we are trying to recover from being down for the count. And don’t let Wall Street get a free ride on this; they are even more responsible for creating a oil futures pyramid scam which creates a bubble which takes advantage of oil and gas consumers. We are working hard to eliminate the problems caused by the housing and credit bubbles, lets not get untracked by the oil scam bubble. Memorial Day Weekend is fast approaching, lets not let the predatory practices begin, let’s put an end to them. I also want to applaud Ford for their decision to build their electric cars here in America, this will help us reach energy independence and it also supports the same workers who will b buying these cars. We all as Americans must support companies who build it where we buy it and we need to buy it where we build it.
