The ePA And Global Warming May Cost You

Can anyone tell me why environmentalists are so consumed with the United States and they do nothing to hold China and India accountable for global pollution? Is it because they want their cake and eat it to. They want their voice heard on carbon emissions but they don’t want their cheap imports stopped. Reportedly, the Environmental Protection Agency is planning to propose regulating greenhouse gas emissions on the grounds that these pollutants pose a danger to the public’s health and welfare. However, everyone in both the political and scientific world knows that this is not what should happen and it is nothing more than a political grab by those who are reportedly funded or associated with a couple of well-heeled environmental groups. A few years ago the Supreme Court ordered the EPA to examine whether emissions linked to climate change should be curbed under the Clean Air Act but many thought this was just lip service being paid to the hot topic of the day. We all know that former President George W. Bush and his administration opposed putting mandatory limits on carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases for years on the grounds that it would harm the economy because countries like India and China would not have these limits and policies in place and this would adversely affect the United States ability to stay competitive in a global marketplace and for all that we can disagree with the former President on, on this issue he was correct. In addition, why have so-called environmentalists forced more regulation on China and India, they can say the yare powerless but they can voice their opinions with their pocketbooks but these hypocritical individuals have not and instead they go after the most accessible target and not the most relevant. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has already warned several times previously that if the federal government regulates carbon dioxide under the Clean Air Act it will do nothing more than be imposing an enormous regulatory burden on small operations in the United States and in reality be doing nothing of substance to slow global carbon emissions.
