Economic Predictions For America?

Whose prediction do you have more faith in, the weatherman or the economist? The answer is not a landslide joke as it once was, matter of fact many say the weatherman is now a lot more accurate than even the best of economists. The sad not in this true fact is that our politicians largely rely on economists for their financial direction. And isn’t it ironic that the professionals who have presided over the largest deficit in the world’s history are also the same ones advising Americans on how to be more fiscally responsible? You have the worst spend accounters in history relying on some of the most unreliable economists ever and you can still ask why Americans are living in economic fear? Well if you can’t figure out why we are afraid then you have a real problem that needs professional and maybe medicinal care. Seriously, have we really forgotten that these political professionals relying on the now exposed profession of economists, who at this time last year were falling all over themselves on how well the economy in the United States was doing and how good global trade with India and China were for the world, are holding our futures in their congressional votes? Well, we have now seen behind the curtain and we now know that politicians overspend worse than a gambling addict, the economy is not blooming up all roses, and trade with China and India is not cracked up to be what everyone thought it would be. So what can be done, what can really turn our country around? Well glad you asked, to start with, what you need to do is hold your local politicians accountable. Secondly, do not blindly follow economists without asking questions. See you need to do what’s good for you and your family, not what’s good for global economies, and what’s good for you and your family is to promote the build in America and buy in America mantra. Don’t listen to idiots who say that promoting build and buy in America is protectionism, these are the same CEO’s and executives who lay off your friends and family for outsourced labor and who dine at the local country clubs while your brother and sister struggle to just feed their spouse and children. We have numerous polls and surveys of leading economists emerging which say that economists are forecasting a much deeper recession in the first half of the year than they originally thought while also seeing a small pickup of the economy in the second half of 2009. And get this; they say there will be a solid recovery in 2010. Now some of this would be considered good news if it came from more credible recent sources than economists who just over 6 months ago were saying that $200 a barrel of oil would soon be cheap and booming economies will superheat all forms of commodities and goods. Still have faith in the so-called expert economist? If so I have heard of a nice bridge in Brooklyn that some investors are looking to sell a stake in. If you still want proof of what I am saying then consider the fact that economists are forecasting a healthy recovery in stocks from their current low levels, some have said that the Standard & Poor’s 500 will end the year at around 1000, which would be an almost %30 increase from the S&P levels at the beginning of the year, so while you or someone you love is struggling to feed their hungry children you can take solace in the fact that some fat cat Americans will be doing alright in the stock market. Does this make Average Joe American and his struggling family feels any safer, fuller, protected? Come on, we need reality and a reality check and we need real legislation which does real good for real true blooded Americans, not those just hoping to profit off of Americans. We need to tax imports at a level that allows us to afford our current tax base and federal programs and we need to promote legislation that makes it more advantageous for companies to build here in America what is sold here in America, to do anything otherwise will just lead us back to this same very financial crisis. We are not saying you cannot buy from a foreign company but what we are saying is that the foreign company needs to build what they sell to Americans in America because that is how they do it to us in their own countries China, India, and several other countries will not allow businesses to sell their products in their country without a gigantic domestic presence, when was the last time we seen a foreign company open shop here in America? It’s time we enact legislation that saves us from corporate greed and political mismanagement and saves our great country we all love so dearly. You need to take the time to buy American, take the time to contact your politicians and tell them to protect American jobs, and take the time to do what is right for our country and our young Americans. You need to quit blindly listening to economists and politicians and you need to take action.
