Sometimes they say that the biggest problem is right under your nose and you fail to address it because you are so busy looking afar, well Mexico is becoming that big problem. We are so busy doing big businesses bidding half way around the world that we are forgetting that we have an emerging problem occurring in Mexico which most who live in American border towns already know, Mexican drug gangs are becoming more adventurous and violent and they are definitely becoming more of a threat to the United States than some camel riding vegetable market bomber half way around the world. The United States faces more than one threat at a time and right now the growing threat from Mexico is becoming the most prominent threats to American safety, again just ask any American living in a border town. We must deal with the gang issues now or we will have a much worse problem later than Al Qaeda could ever pose. Just look at the revelation that one of Wall Streets most prominent brokers has been laundering money for a Mexican drug gang and you will see the danger these gangs impose. Mexico is a country with a nearly 2,000-mile border with the United States and we must make sure the border is protected. Recently many American border towns have been seeing a rise in a horrifying wave of violence that is occurring on the Mexican side of the border with repercussions and reprisals following on the American side of the border. Don’t we have a duty to protect these Americans from harm and danger? We have militarily armed drug soldiers now entering into the United States and these armed thugs are committing brutal crimes in America and then returning to their safe haven in Mexico. Sure the drug traffickers are battling fiercely with each other and Mexican authorities but their problems spill into our country and their terrorizing grip is also now beginning to reach into our country as well. We have enough to worry about and we cannot add an entrenched Mexican drug cartel to the already unaffordable other battles Americans are currently facing. Let’s hire some more border guards and border city police with the money we are wasting in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other areas. What good is it to clean up the Middle East while at the same time allowing our own backyard and porch to sink into disarray, we are trying to resolve a foreclosure crisis not become a foreclosed country and trust when I tell you that if we do not head this problem off now it will become a severe problem soon enough. Let’s create some stimulus by hiring hundreds to thousands of new border patrol guards and let’s do this immediately. A spillover of Mexican drug violence into the United States is bound to expand and bound to affect our way of life in an adverse manner and we must address the issue now while we can afford to. Do you think it is just coincidence that there are approximately 7000 U.S. gun shops within 100 miles of the Mexican border? I also bet it would not surprise you to know that the majority of border town crimes are committed with weapons which came into the towns from American gun businesses. And its not just guns these thugs are utilizing, they have heavy artillery and powerful firearms, they are routinely utilizing bazookas as was seen in a recent shootout between drug members and Mexican federal police and army soldiers in Reynosa, Mexico which is only a stones throw away from the Texas border.
