I listened to two would be voters discuss their criteria for their vote for President this year and I had to step in and tell them that there is only one criteria that matters, their jobs. They bandied about over health care, education, civil programs, and the mortgage mess and I ended up explaining to them that without jobs there is no money for health care, civil programs, education, or mortgages. Politicians want you to discuss the topics because they know that both Republicans and Democrats have failed on the jobs issue and that is what is devastating our economy. However, the Republicans and Democrats do not want you to start to look to the third option which is the Liberal party, or the green party, or the independent party. See Republicans and Democrats may hate each other but even more than this they hate any idea of a third party. So what you need to do is take their fear of a third party and use this against them. You need to convince them that if they do not protect our jobs and our economy from being outsourced and import based then you will use your vote for a third party type candidate. You must know that if there are no jobs then there is a faltering tax base and without a tax base our local state and federal agencies go unfunded and then they begin to get cut. You probably see it right now, teachers getting laid off, police officers getting laid off, and roads in disrepair. Both parties should be ashamed and you need to shame them into responsibility. Tell both parties that if they do not enact legislation to protect our jobs and our economy you will use your vote to make them pay. You also need to let them know that China and India pollute much more than does America and we should nopt hamper ourselves with unfair emission policies if China and India are not bound by the same regulations, this will just further make the economic playing field that much more unfair, we all need to be playing by the same rules. We also need to promote more clean cola burning power plants in America so we are not dependent on foreign energy.
