Which Party Has Your Interests In Mind?

Listening to reports the past week it is becoming increasingly popular to say that the Republicans support big business and tax breaks for the rich while democrats support permanent fixes to the energy problems and putting actual American workers back to work in manufacturing and building industries. It appears that even foreign dignitaries are more concerned about the price of oil than Republicans. Reportedly Saudi Arabia finds the price of fuel unacceptable and urgently called a meeting of OPEC and other foreign oil producers and consumers to help develop a way to stabilize the oil market. While Republicans just want more oil pumped Democrats want better energy policies put in place, even the Saudis have a better plan than the Republicans, they at least stated to Reuters that, ” Saudi Arabia believes the current price is unacceptable.”

Republicans are not concerned that the price of oil may be the new playfield for the rich, they just want to keep their Republican base happy, which by the way are the same investors who are selling out American companies while also causing oil to spike by investing in overhyped oil prices. The Saudis called the oil meeting because of concern about the stability of the market and they stated that they believe that producers and consumers should get together to find a reasonable solution to return stability, funny how Republicans have not acted as energetic. Additionally, while the Republicans work on more tax breaks for companies who outsource outside the United States the Democrats are working on closing tax loopholes and enacting legislation which will make domestic production more favorable. The Republicans keep talking about the global economy while Democrats at least talk about the American economy and the American worker.

The United Auto Workers Union agrees and they have endorsed Senator Barack Obama for president Tuesday. UAW President Ron Gettelfinger said in a written statement, “On every issue that counts, we can count on Barack Obama to stand with our members, our families and our communities…He has pledged to rebuild America’s manufacturing base and to assist the auto industry as we retool toward a cleaner, more modern transportation system.” I think it’s easy to see which party at this time has the concerns of the average American in their policies. Voteswagon does not endorse either political party but it is easy to see right now at this time who is more concerned with real Americans rather than fat-pocket CEO’s who are selling out America and causing global warming by industrializing the world, not to mention global hunger and global food shortages.
