Dirty Little Secrets Your Boss Wants To Hide

How hypocritical is Big Business and the politicians who are bought by their lobbyists? They are more concerned with the global warming, or the potential for global warming than they are for actual human life. Sure there are green initiatives throughout America but when it comes to countries like China and India committing human rights atrocities we all look the other way, or at least CEO’s and politicians do. Thousands are being slaughtered in Tibet and who cares, thousands were killed by poisonous toothpaste but who cares, millions were exposed to lead toys but who cares, but on a patsy issue like global warming everyone gets tough and still even with global warming no one is forcing China and India to reduce emissions. I am sick of being told to be more thoughtful and green while American businesses bend over backwards to get into China where human rights are not even mentioned because they are so forgotten.

American businesses keep thinking that China is the next big, great, customer but no one says that they have a forced sterilization policy, heavily polluted rivers killing innocent villagers, or a government policy that appears to repress any expression of freedom or free choice. We go after Russia for what are basically legitimate elections but when do nothing when Chinese officials go after innocent Chinese citizens who were merely searching for terms and articles on the internet about atrocities committed by Chinese officials.

Sure being green is good and we all need to be conscious of how to be better. However, how much longer can we ignore the human factor in China and India and just look the other way. How can a country under God do business with so many ungodly type people? How can we go to church, temple, or mosque on the weekend and then go right back to doing business with businesses and countries where there is no moral judgment or value whatsoever? Do not tell me to be green when all you do is make business deals with bastards who kill innocent villagers, force sterilization, and promote child and sex slavery. Does anyone remember the Nixon offer of a million Chinese women? It’s only gotten worse my friends and before you get all greened up why don’t you ask your company to get real and make them address their business with a country like China or India where millions are used and abused daily and where tons of toxins are dumped into poor villages and village rivers so that cheap manufacturing can go on. Next time your boss tells you to go green tell him you will after you see some soil test results from your manufacturer or supplier in China. Let’s see just how active your boss and his boss gets on this. Sure they will come around and bitch you out for not recycling but let’s see how they feel about soil samples from India and China which show pollution in and around work facilities in those respective countries. I dare say that poisoning humans is far worse than a little more tree cutting in America, don’t you agree?

Do you really think anything will be done to address human rights issues in China and India? Well, global warming was once jsut a buzzword to. You can make a difference, you can make a change, jsut start asking the questions. Ask about your companies associates in China and India and tell your boss you want facts jsut like you get for global warming, trust me, they have them.

  1. The reason people don’t challenge their companies is because its a very difficult topic and especially in these times, we all want to keep the job we have. It sounds like the company you work for is trying to push into this market. Are you willing to put yourself at risk over this? How hard have you pushed this in your company? Maybe by expanding into China and India we can impose some of our environmental knowledge to improve their situation one project at a time. If we stay away or ignore them because they are evil then it does nothing to improve them. Getting involved and explaining why it’s important to reduce emitions could make a change.
