It is interesting to listen to individuals complain about the price of gas, the outsourcing of jobs, the pay cuts and buyouts, the reduction in their benefits, and even their counties ability to clear the roads of snow, and then find out these individuals do not vote. They usually regurgitate the lazy man’s statement that ‘One vote doesn’t count’ or ‘Look what happened in 2000.’
However, to these individuals I say you will get what you deserve for your efforts. Did Martin Luther or the following Martin Luther King stop their mission because they were only one person? Did Gandhi or Mother Theresa stop because they were one person against the world’s opinions? Jonas Salk, George Washington, and I can go on and on. We want the good life but we have forgotten how to get it. We let trade agreements go by unchallenged, we let companies off-shore far too often, and now we have foreign countries swooping in to buy American businesses, is this the prosperity your lazy azz really wants Mister and Miss Non-Voter?
You complain about a short Christmas break, well soon the day may come where your company is owned by a foreign country where Christmas is not only not recognized but any celebration of it is banned, what will you say then? Numerous so-called Big Businesses are sneaking jobs out of the country and bringing the money back in based on tax breaks, what will you do Lazy-Azz when your job gets targeted for outsourcing? Will you cry ignorance or inability to act then?
You have the chance to make sure American businesses produce in America and are not foreign owned but to do this you have to put forth a little effort, a very little is all that is needed, can you do this for your own future? Can you keep your own job in America, are you ready to try? There are numerous countries out there such as India and China which look the other way in regards to labor law and safety regulations and who have no concern whatsoever for human rights or civil rights.
You have to make sure the global light is shined on these countries so that American business is on a level playing field with the rest of the world and you then can lead your lazy-by chair lifestyle. You must make sure your congressman, Senator, Governor, and President are working for you and not the interest of Big Business or foreign lobbyists. You need to correspond with them and hold them accountable. You also need to take a minute and let your neighbor and co-workers know that you are politically active and aware of the outsourcing of America and you want this to end.
What can you do to make a change?
