Those who say Ralph Nader cost a Presidency are idiots. If Ralph Nader gets a vote its because the vote was not won by any of the other candidates other than Nader and that is not Nader’s fault. Ralph Nader plays devil’s advocate for the benefit of Americans and yet all Americans do is mock him and spew hatred towards him.
See, Democrats feel Nader costs him on-the-fence-Democrats and they feel this cost them the 2000 Presidency, well rather than whine Democrats need to buck up and make sure they get the on-the-fence votes. The Republicans’ do not fear Nader because the majority of their base does not really care about the topics Nader expounds on and this is why Ralph Nader is so important to the Presidential Race. When one political party ducks a topic and the other does not want to bring the topic up then we as Americans all lose. However, Ralph Nader will bring up the topics that both political parties want buried. He is not afraid to say that the Surge has not brought violence down but the cease fire by Al-Sadr has.
Nader is not afraid to discuss real trade issues and how both Republican and Democratic support for free trade and normalized relations with China has devastated the average American worker. Ralph Nader stands up for you whether you like him or not and this is very admirable of him. I am not endorsing one candidate over the other I am merely stating that Ralph Nader is a Presidential Candidate who may not have a chance at being elected but his message should be heard and his opinions valued. Ralph Nader says what is not politically correct in a world where Big business is politically correct to your face but without ethics the minute you turn your back to them.
Ralph Nader is a politicians’ worst nightmare because what he stands for is credibility and this is why he is so reviled by both Democrats and Republicans. Nader shines the light where most political parties never want it to be. Ralph Nader wants no money from Big Business or their lobbyists and this makes him despised in Washington, what does that tell you? Support your candidate, and if you feel Ralph Nader will cost your party the Presidency then maybe you need to do more much like Nader is.
What do you think?
