Understanding America’s Needs

What parent in their right mind takes food from their starving children and gives it to people who could have fended for themselves? Idiots and irresponsible persons that’s who, and sadly this analogy reflects our current Government and those of the ones trying to attain new Governmental positions in the 2008 elections. In Michigan alone we have an almost 8 percent unemployment rate and yet the politicians and the President, and even the 2008 Presidential candidates are all talking about creating jobs overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa, and Asia, well maybe these politicians need to remember the over 18,000 homeless in Detroit alone, or how about the almost 10 percent unemployed in Flint Michigan, don’t they deserve some of the attention?

Shouldn’t America worry about their job potential and well-being first? I also want to know how we can be going further and further into federal debt and yet we continue to just give other countries tens of billions with no requirement that it ever get paid back? We give away billions why at the same time fund our country by selling our National Debt to China, how can this be? Basic economics says you cannot spend more than you take in or you are running a deficit funded business which will not last very long. The time is coming where America will be picked bone dry like a road kill feast for the buzzards and if we do not make our Government address their failed economic policies we will be road kill faster than you think.

China, India, the Koreas, they are all spending on education and new technology while America relies on Military incursions abroad and outsourcing. How can America defend itself when the very countries most likely to attack America are the same countries that provide us with our manufacturing and technology support? Do we really think these Middle Eastern and Asian countries would support us in a time of war against themselves or one of their close neighbors? We have handed the keys to our country over to a bunch of countries who have no alliance whatsoever with us. We have let Big Business outsource our prosperity and security and we need to address this problem immediately or else we will be victims of a much worse catastrophe than 9/11.

We are being fattened up like fat pigs being prepared for a ceremonial hunt and once we are attacked this time it might not be by such a small force or such a temporary act. America needs to enact legislation that makes importing less favorable and makes domestic job creation much more attractive. Additionally, we need to make sure we keep our technology and technology support in the United States, we have outsourced so much IT that we barely have an IT base and trust me, the next major war will require IT know how and if we continue to outsource it we will have no ability to protect ourselves.

Lastly, idiots in 2004 called manufacturing the jobs of yesterday, well it appears to me that China, Korea, and India are doing pretty well with the jobs of yesterday; you don’t see them in financial distress like we do America. We also need to remember that a strong domestic manufacturing base allows us to defend ourselves vigorously, if we had to import our trucks, tanks, and planes from foreign countries, what do you think the chances of them arriving here would be in times of war?

We would be naive to think we will never be attacked domestically and we need to make sure we have domestic economic and manufacturing and technology know-how and ability to protect ourselves ; to do any other thing is totally irresponsible and would not be just for our country. Let’s hope the newly elected President and any other politicians elected in the November Elections understands America’s needs and addresses them properly, to not address them would be un-American.

What do you think? The Grammy’s aren’t the only thing you should be aware of this week, you need to get your head in politicis and be involved.
