Berkeley California, The City of Idiots

I know that Berkeley is like Hippie Central but come on; I think they are carrying their hippiness a little too far. The infamously liberal college town in California is taking on a cause that is just not ‘just’ and their taking aim at Marine recruiters and trying to somehow make an absurd point by stating to the Marines, “ You are not welcome in our city.” A large majority of us do not agree with the ongoing war in Iraq but it is idiotic to tie the marine recruiting to political policy.

These idiotic individuals enjoy the safety and protection the marines provide and they should respect the marines and address their politicians, they are pointing the finger in the wrong direction and they are making idiots of themselves. Berkeley recently passed a measure encouraging protesters to gather outside the Marine recruiting office and to peacefully protest the marines.

However, some politicians with some allegiance to our country spoke out and called the cowards in Berkeley what they really where and in addition they began to work on legislation addressing the situation. Republican lawmakers in Washington are now threatening to take back more than $2 million of federal funding to the city of Berkeley; they are also taking back funds designated for the University of California-Berkeley as well. The Berkeley City Council approved a measure last week urging the Marine recruiters to leave their downtown office but the marines dug in and they are not running from these cowards much like they are not running from their responsibility to fight terrorism wherever America sends them. Listen to the rhetoric, “If recruiters choose to stay, they do so as uninvited and unwelcome intruders.” Does this sound like an American to you?

It sounds like an idiotic from God-knows-where dumbass to me. Reportedly the Berkeley city council wants protestors to impede, passively or actively, by nonviolent means, the work of any military recruiting office located in the City of Berkeley. There was one disgusting sign which stated, “No Military Predators in Our Town.” How dare these bastards call these brave men and woman predators, they deserve a marine code red if ever one was needed to be given to a civilian. Another message displayed stated, “Join the Marines. Travel to Exotic Lands. Meet Exciting and Unusual People — And Kill Them.”

These idiots have no originality and nor do they have any intelligence. I bet they are still holding onto Mommas purse strings and apron strings and they do not have the balls to face what our marines face every day. Some of us may want better treatment for our returning soldiers; most of us want our soldiers out of Iraq. However, we make intelligent statements directed at the right individuals we do not attack those who protect us. I bet these Berkeley idiots are the same dumb asses who still say outsourcing is good.

A group of Republican lawmakers have created the Semper Fi Act of 2008 to rescind more approximately $2 million dollars of funding for Berkeley and transfer it to the Marine Corps. Senator David Vitter and Senator Jim DeMint, need to be applauded for their efforts on this issue.

Support our soldiers, they are the reason we enjoy our safety and freedom.
