2008 Presidential Race

You want to know why this election scares me? Just read why Mitt Romney dropped out of the election and you will see why. Mitt Romney suspended his bid for the Republican presidential nomination by stating that his continued run for the Presidency would forestall the launch of a national campaign and be making it easier for Senator Clinton or Senator Obama to win.

Romney made the same error that most Republicans are making the past several years, they are putting the needs of foreign countries ahead of our own and Romneys’ remarks show me that the Republicans may still not get the real issues Americans are concerned with.

Americans are becoming vastly unemployed and our economy is in tremendous danger and yet Mitt Romney said hi goodbyes by stating, “ In this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign be a part of aiding a surrender to terror. This is not an easy decision. I hate to lose… But I agree with him on doing whatever it takes to be successful in Iraq, on finding and executing Osama bin Laden, and I agree with him on eliminating Al Qaeda and terror worldwide.

“If this were only about me, I’d go on. But it’s never been only about me. I entered this race because I love America, and because I love America, in this time of war I feel I have to now stand aside for our party and for our country.” Well Mistr Romney, I think Americans, all Americans, want out of the war, the war spending is part of what has put the American economy in such bad shape and has made us much more vulnerable to terror than we were prior to the Iraq war.

With Romney out, Sen. John McCain is locked in as the front-runner in the GOP race and this scares me because in a recent debate McCain was asked what made him a better leader to guide us through these economic times and he answered by stating he will not cut and run in Iraq and Afghanistan. He never answered the economic leadership questions but instead went on a tangent about war in the Middle East.

While we waste billions on a useless war other countries are spending on infrastructure and education, we need to use our brains and not just our brawn but it appears republicans still don’t think so. Lets hope they prove me wrong real fast. Additionally, can Angelina Jolie either go into Baghdad and work or could she just be quiet.

Angelina Jolie is in Iraq to gain attention for what she sees as poor efforts to deal with the problems of displaced Iraqi’s in Iraq. She wants America to just throw open the doors and let tens of thousands into the United States with no rhyme or reason. Lets see, lets let uneducated, unemployable, radicalized, non-documented people into our country who have hostile feelings towards us and whose children are being filmed being radicalized towards us, yeah that makes a lot of sense.

Why doesn’t Angelina just adopt them or build them somewhere to live right where they are at. She is just an aging semi-hot chick, she does not have a genius mind or a total grasp on politics, remember this is a Hollywood starlet who just a few years ago was running around with Billy Bobs blood around her neck, yeah she is someone we should all listen to. By the way, did you notice McCain did not vote one way or the other in the Senate for the stimulus package?

  1. I think Mitt Romney finally put some of his “business experience” to work and realized that he wasn’t getting the ROI from all that money he was spending on his campaign. Cutting his losses is what he did…
