America Needs Your Help, Can You Stand Up For Her?

Our politicians have jacked us on trade for far too long and now it’s time to pull their noses out of big businesses asses and put it back into the domestic American economy where it belongs. Big Business wanted normalized relations with China thinking they would get right in there in China and corner their market but what really happened is that China walloped them but good and now they are left trying to just survive. Additionally, we have the problem of normalized trade relations with India and other countries in North America, what have these ingenious actions produced? What have they done for the average American citizen?

Nothing, in all reality it has destroyed the Middle and Lower working class of America and now our politicians want to put the nail in the coffin by giving India our nuclear technology, why not just pull the plug on all of us and end it quick rather than let other countries bleed us dry?

Come on, the trade policies of the last twelve years have killed a prosperous American country and both Republicans and Democrats have a hand in this catastrophe. Since the North American Free Trade Agreement was signed in 1993, the rise in our trade deficit with Canada and Mexico has grown dramatically resulting in the displacement of production associated with over a million American jobs. The majority of jobs lost to NAFTA were good paying jobs in manufacturing industries.

What we sometimes fails to recognize is that every time an American loses a job he loses the ability to buy and when no one can buy no one can sell and that is how we ended up in this economy tragedy. Politicians try to spin it as Big Business has told them, they say to blame it on the mortgage crisis, the subprime issue, and may other unassociated issues and the sad thing is that the majority of America buys this garbage as an excuse.

Our politicians are so bought out by Big Business and foreign investors that they think the 150 billion stimulus package will help America, this is nothing more than a bandage. When a heroin addict needs a fix would you prescribe giving him more dope? Hell no, what you do is get them help and you fix their problem. The problem with the American economy is that we do not have enough domestic American workers and without workers you do not have buyers, and without buyers the economy is faltering. Fix the problem by giving us jobs and by making China fix their artificially manipulated currency, and by limiting and taxing imports like other countries.

China, India, Mexico are all having smoothly running economies because they have all our jobs. Big business is so dumb they have not figured out that if they give away all our jobs we cannot buy their products and the countries now working for pennies on the dollar cannot buy their products either, they have destroyed their own self sustaining economy and now they are grabbing at straws by supporting a stimulus package.

I sure hope the newly elected President and the newly elected politicians get a better understanding soon and for the idiots, who say we can’t have protectionism, limited protectionism is better than a country of starving and unemployed citizens, don’t think it can happen, just look at Russia. They wasted their wealth in a useless war in Afghanistan and they began to rely on imports, then they collapsed, does the story sound familiar? If they don’t step up in America soon, you better. Make your politicians enact legislation that makes America competitive again. No free trade with Korea, that would definitely hurt American workers.
