Wacky-stan or Pakistan? That Is The Question

If Pakistan is the mold for Democracy in the Middle East then its time to break the mold and start with some new ingredients. Pakistan is just another failed example of globalization trying to pull a country kicking and screaming into the modern era who in all reality has no real ambition to be a modern country. What we have done is allow a cave man mentality country the ability to attain nuclear destructive levels without a nuclear level civilization in place. We are in such a hurry to outsource and jobsource and globalize that we are turning countries with no business being modern into modernistic terrorist havens. How about we leave the Middle East to its own devices for a few years and then see what we get because for all of the Wests ‘efforts and capital spending we are no closer to peace in the Middle East the new were tens of years ago. In all actuality we have a much more dangerous Middle East than we would have had the West stayed out of the Middle East and their affairs. We have a destabilized Palestine, a confused and manipulated Lebanon, a destabilized and deadly Iraq, a nuclear Iran, a worthless Afghanistan, and now a martial law ran Pakistan, and this does not include the militant radical problems occurring in Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, the Sudan, and many other areas. Maybe America should spend a few billion in its own country and leave the Middle East to sort their own problems out.

If America could regain its composure and take care of its own for a while the rest of the world would fall in place. However, the Middle East sees America as divided and weak and that is why there are so many problems occurring. If America could strengthen its own economy, create jobs that bring people to America rather than support American companies who outsource to foreign countries, and properly fund child health care and education, we would display a strong front and resolve the worlds issues by being a world leader and not a world sellout.

General Pervez Musharraf’s declaration of martial law is a disgusting turn of events in the modern world and how could America have ever been caught off guard by this action? We msut also ask, if the Bush save the world democracy doctrine cannot keep Pakistan in a democracy then what is really going on here? Just what is the game plan for the Middle East? Better yet don’t answer that. Let’s scrap all Middle Eastern game plans and worry about the domestic United States for a few years, then see what becomes of what. Let’s let Russia, and China, and Europe step up a little more so they see what they have to lose as well. It’s time America become an equal sharer of the burden of globalization and the instability it brings rather than sit back and watch China, India, and Russia exploit world markets while America keeps them safe.

The wake-up call for Washington has the future alliance with the Pakistani president in question but how did it ever come to this point in the first place? Musharraf has been considering this threat for some time and almost all knew it was a matter of when and not if. The United States has pushed for Musharraf to shed his army uniform and hold elections by January but he most likely will just brush this request to the side. He knows that opinion wise America needs him and his cooperation in the war on terror or else America’s Middle Eastern policies will be ridiculed.

It’s a shame we have to rely on such a donkey-headed leader. The United States knows it needs Musharraf to combat al Qaeda in Pakistan but are we willing to watch a democracy become a dictatorship to get their help? Musharraf knows Washington is in a tough place and how this idiot of Pakistan got American into the position it is, well it’s beyond me. And what have we really gotten from Musharraf, he will not let us in full force to get Bin Laden or the real support of the Taliban or Al Qaeda.

I say we just step back and watch the fireworks, and then we go in after it settles. It’s time we refocus on America and let the Middle East handle its business.
