License To Steal In The U.S.

Can someone tell me the law and then the real laws? Can I just walk in and steal your television, assault your wife, and kidnap your child? No, because these are illegal acts. However, being an illegal immigrant in America is illegal and yet many are fighting for not only the illegal’s rights but rights for the illegal’s in and above American citizens rights. Well if we can just arbitrarily pick and chose what laws we are to follow then I am sure there are quite a few citizens who want access to large bank vaults and cash registers illegally as well.

These individuals will argue that if illegal aliens can have illegal access to American soil then why can’t American citizens have illegal access to areas that they should not be in as well. Do Illegal aliens have more rights than American citizens in America? If you follow this logic they do. American citizens cannot be where they legally are not allowed but illegal aliens can be. And if the illegal immigrant law is not going to be upheld then I say why uphold the law about me entering your house and stealing your television and assaulting your family.

Either we follow the laws or we become a lawless society, we cannot make laws and then pick and choose which ones to follow. If we do this then why have a law of the land or a Supreme Court, because the law will be interpreted differently in every city, county, and state. I know that recently jury cases have shown us that all ex-professional athletes do have the right to stalk us down and kill us. Additionally, court decisions have shown us that if we are part of the rich and famous such as movie stars or kings of pop we can commit heinous crimes such as murder or pedophilia and get away with it as long as we can afford some high priced lawyer talent.

However, the most recent issue of lawlessness has me confounded and confused because it does not involve the glamour or glitz, or even the rich and famous, it involves the working poor known as the illegal aliens. New York Governor Eliot Spitzer is jeopardizing the safety of U.S. citizens and demeaning their citizenship rights as he struggles to find a way to justify his decision to allow illegal immigrants to get driver’s licenses.

The illegal immigrant driver’s license is the biggest pandering effort I have ever seen by a political candidate and it is dangerous because the pandering to a minority voting group may end up costing us all or own safety and security. And the civil rights nut jobs coming out of the woodwork in support of the policy should quit citing the Constitution because these dimwits have forgotten one major aspect of the issue, the illegal aliens are illegal and not citizens so they have no protection of any rights based on the American Constitution.

How dare Governor Spitzer and these idiotic groups representing the interests of illegal immigrants demand equal rights, maybe we should just put them all on an island of lawlessness and then see how fast they pipe up about following the rules. Additionally, the attacks on Lou Dobbs need to end, Lou is 100% right on this issue and I applaud the man for being politically incorrect most of the time while stating what really needs to be said. We here at Voteswagon support both republican and Democratic politicians but what we don’t support are partisan idiots or partisan rhetoric, and Lou Dobbs may be considered a political radical but on the issues he makes sense on, he really makes good sense and this illegal driver’s license issue makes a lot of sense.

Governor Spitzer made quasi- promises to activist groups and now he is providing payback but to declare that illegal immigrants should be given New York driver’s licenses is more than payback, it’s ludicrous. Leadership of the state Democratic Party and Democratic state legislature are distancing themselves from Governor Spitzer on this issue and they have advised that he didn’t hold a single public hearing that they know of on this issue.

Governor Spitzer stated, “Illegal immigrants no longer need to hide and pretend they are not here.” Well maybe if we did our job providing proper border security and immigration checking there would not be millions of illegal’s in our country. Governor Spitzer’s response to critics of his plan has been to declare the critics as anti-immigrant but what they are is pro-legal immigrant. We, either than American Indians, are all immigrants are direct descendants of immigrants. However, the majority of our families came here legally and that’s all we want.

Public opinion polls of New Yorkers show that almost 80% of those polled oppose the governor’s plan. Hopefully, smarter heads prevail. The three tiered license system will do nothing but add more levels of bureaucracy when we are trying to reduce levels and the size of government. In addition, this new driver’s license system would open the door to massive voter and identification fraud in addition to various other illegal opportunities. I hope the 2008 elections bring in politicians who clear this type of mess right up.
