Jena 6, A Just Cause or A Photo Op?

All of the usual suspects are marching on the small town of Jena Louisiana in order to get their face time and potentially get a little something for themselves. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, etc, al…However, their presence only begs the question, ‘Why are they here in Louisiana marching for the supposed cause of a group of individuals who committed a heinous felony instead of marching their tails through the Darfur region where tens of thousands of innocent Africans are being slaughtered?’ These so called civil rights leaders of the modern era are quick to march anywhere in the United States where they can get a little positive PR and some safe face time but you see nothing of them protecting the salve trade workers throughout the world, or the persecuted in Darfur. The Jena 6 are hearing how they are not alone but how about the victim of their 6 on 1 gang style beat down? This victim was alone, and he was outnumbered by a group of punk thugs who outnumbered him 6 to 1. I am all for civil rights and civil equality but come on, these guys tried to kill a guy with a punkish 6 on 1 beat down, is this really a just cause? I also want to know why we never see any black African American leaders leading marches in Darfur, are they only brave when it is safe? If Martin Luther King was alive today he would most likely be in Darfur and not in the safe areas like the so called modern day yellow bellied civil rights leaders of our time. I am not pointing any fingers but I think we all know who utilizes the system for their own face time. What do you think?Jena 6
