The American tax base was designed to be used for American needs; it is not a global welfare system or an international charity fund. Falling bridges, failing power lines, falling highway overpasses, busting steam pipes, unsafe imported food, toxic imported toys, laid off police, closed schools, under funded DHS programs, closed free medical clinics, and countless other federal shortfalls.
Is the infrastructure of America failing right before our eyes? Has the war on terror so tunnel-visioned our Government that they have lost sight of their domestic responsibilities? Was the bridge falling in Minnesota a tragedy because the state did not have enough money to fund proper inspections or building processes? Is the war on terror causing such a domestic cash shortfall that we as citizens are being put in harms way domestically? Has not the elected politicians in Washington figured out that the only way to remain a super power in the coming years is to be economically strong and not necessarily militarily strong?
We need business to generate taxes to pay for federal programs and services, if we lose the business, we lose the taxes, and we lose the proper funding, it does not take a genius to figure this all out. Therefore, unless we want further failures like the bridge in Minnesota or the busting pipes in New York, or even the rolling blackouts of a few years ago, which by the way has not really been addressed as was promised, we better do something and something fast domestically. We need a policy change and we need it immediately. Let’s see Americas’ Government do something for domestic American citizens and not foreign citizens or illegal aliens, lets see something for the average Joe Taxpayer.
You deserve more for your dollar than to have falling and decrepit infrastructures. You also deserve to have your tax dollars spent helping out your fellow Americans and not necessarily the entire world. The American tax base was designed to be used for American needs; it is not a global welfare system or an international charity fund. You deserve a better return for your sacrifice and your tax dollars deserve to be spent here in the domestic United States and not utilized in countries half a globe away.
America needs to provide a better high speed internet access backbone for its citizens. American school children deserve a better academic curriculum along with a larger staffed school system. Americans deserve to have jobs created in America and performed by Americans and not have so many outsourced or job sourced workers pecking at the value of life of the average American. We as Americans deserve better health care and cheaper health care and we also deserve to have more free clinics for the poor and needy in America. Why give so much medical aid to Afghanistan and Pakistan when they allow the Taliban and Al Qaeda to thrive all the while closing domestic free clinics for lack of funds or resources?
Since when was it decided that American tax dollars should be spent outside the United States before Americas’ own citizens are cared for? I do not recall our early fore fathers saying it was our obligation to fund donkey markets in Iraq, health care for the illegal poppy seed growers in Afghanistan, or free food for the Jihadists training in Pakistan.
It’s time the next elected President of the United States takes the bull by the horns and makes the buck stop here, right here in America. Let’s take care of our own first, they pay the taxes, they deserve the care and protection.
