Attention all cheapskates, idiots, and inactive uncaring import buying uninformed shoppers, and just plain lazy humans: What you don’t know can’t hurt you it can kill you and what you buy without being informed is now your own potential demise so for all the idiots who say they want the cheap Chinese imports, have at it, just remember the saying’ Let the buyer beware’ because what you buy may not be all that you think or in all reality it may be much more than you ever imagined. In China it has been recently found that Chinese producers were selling pork products produced pigs fattened on force-fed wastewater, there has also been farm bread fish fed toxic fish food, and most disgustingly Chinese companies producing lard made from sewage. It was reported in China that up to 80 percent of food produced for consumption and sold to the Chinese population by Chinese producers actually met acceptable levels and was passed through food inspection. This means that 20% of the food produced, sold, and consumed by Chinese in China was unfit for consumption, and yet China let it be sold in their country to their own people. If the food produced domestically for consumption was this bad then how bad do you think their exports were? Outsourcing to China which became the en-vogue thing during the 90’s and early 2000’s is now also faltering as companies recognize their true cost of obtaining their products at the Chinese price. Large companies are now having trouble dealing with the fallout from defective products and unsafe goods which has resulted in bad publicity, expensive recalls, and devastating litigation.
If your chicken smells fishy or your fish tastes like chicken you better beware, China is the Wild West of the global economy and in an anything goes Chinese economy the only thing that can be counted on is the almost total disregard for regulations and rules. This is not necessarily the Chinese governments fault because reportedly they are trying to do all they can, it’s the unscrupulous businessmen in China taking advantage of a system that has grown faster than its checks and balances could keep up with.
Chinese products have become customary throughout the United States but the sheer volume of Chinese imports says nothing in regards to the safety or danger many of these imports propose and now many uniformed shoppers and companies are in life and death struggles because they went with the cheapest and not necessarily the best or most reliable. Chinese products have come under renewed scrutiny after a series of recalls this year and the recalls have ranged from deadly dog food to lead painted children’s toys to even lethal toothpaste. The problem has helped engage a new generation of Americans and these Americans are looking for the ‘Made In America’ label but the problem is that so many American companies now outsource their labor it is hard to find just an American product made by Americans in America. The Chinese import danger became prominent this summer after American consumers faced scare after scare over Chinese imported products ranging from seafood to toys to their pet food products. Many companies have associated or manufactured their products in China because of their cheap labor and cost cutting measures. However, recent lawsuits have cost companies millions and now cheap foreign labor and production is being exposed as unqualified labor and hazardous material production.
To many in the business field China is referred to as the Wild Wild West because of its lack of regulation and governance and the uncontrolled nature of business inside Chinas’ borders. The ‘Anything Goes’ mantra is rampant throughout a superheated China and this has caused danger and destruction throughout many parts of the world. The United States Congress has noticed the danger China is becoming and it has stated that it wants actions to assure that anything that does not meet American domestic standards will not be allowed to be imported and they want this action taken immediately.
Many business professionals throughout the world feel that India and China are benefiting from an unregulated system that has allowed their manufacturers to run out of control while they attempt to become a global economic superpower. China and India have been exposed for dangerous and extreme business practices and the American Congress wants this to end for the sake of safety and security for American citizens.
