Don’t Give Up The Fight, We Can Still All Be Winners

We are the world’s greatest consumers and we should also be the world’s greatest suppliers. Feed a man and he eats for a day, teach him how to fish and he will eat forever, rely on imports and outsourcing and you will become fat, lazy, and unemployed. America must lead the technological way into the future but we must also make sure we maintain our manufacturing prowess and know how. We have seen what foreign reliance on energy has done for our country and now our Government is telling us we must move away from a manufacturing base, give me a break. Let’s not be told to just lay down and die and then do it. It’s time we lead the world in technology and again in manufacturing. Importing is alright to a point but America must be a creator and a sustainer and not a fat lazy importer. America has the ability; it just needs leadership that quits trying to save every other culture in the world and instead focuses on domestic Americans. The world has made it along through all kinds of threats and is still spinning so a little inward reflection by American politicians will not cause the world to stop. Its time domestic Americans, and not the illegal aliens, got some attention and assistance domestically. Think about it, the only real time we usually ever talk about Americans is when we talk about terrorism or illegal immigrants, when is the last time we talked about domestic America and domestic upwardness in the same conversation? It’s time for change and its time for Americans to take care of their fellow Americans.

Why do we allow countries like Japan and China to enact tariffs and administrative tariffs on American imports yet we do nothing in America to protect our own economy and our own economic infrastructure? China, India, Japan and many others limit the amount of importing they will do from the United States. Conversely, America is opened up like a cracked peanut for predatory countries like China, India, and Vietnam, all of which exploit cheap labor in a slave like fashion as well as sell dangerous material and food goods in countries that have strict domestic good policies but little import safety policies. America strongly oversees domestic food production and material goods creations to ensure safety yet they do very little to ensure the safety of imported goods. However, imported goods from foreign countries are made cheaply and dangerously because the countries being imported from do not care about the safety of exported goods and a foreign companies’ only concern is how cheap they can produce a product for sale in Europe or America and still make a decent profit. Rather than cut a little into profit these foreign producers use dangerous chemical substitutes or poorly constructed material parts. It’s time for America to step up and enact a fair playing field for its own citizens and make sure imported goods are inspected more thoroughly. Maybe a slight import tax would allow the government the ability to hire inspectors and investigators so that we are at least safe from dangerous products dumped on Americans by foreign countries who have no care or concern for American lives.

You have been told hundreds to thousands of times ‘What can one person do’ but don’t let this beat you down. George Washington was one man, Martin Luther King was one man, Jesus was one man or at least part man. You do not have to acquiesce to popular belief. Take a moment and think about what is right for your future and the children of America, where do you want our future to be in twenty or thirty years? Take action now so you are not helpless later. Take America back one prideful American at a time.
