Gas And Outsourcing, Have We Lost Our Will To Fight?

Did anyone notice that right after gas hit over $3 a gallon on May 1st it hit a steady price and did not drop even though the price of oil is plummeting? Both outsourcing and high gas prices are an exploitation of Americans. What big business and big oil is relying on is that you and your friends and family will be too lazy to fight their ways and you will acquiesce to their demands. Are they right? Have you just given up like a pansy?
Some of the gas stations have resorted to dropping their price from $3.25 a gallon last week to $3.01 today but this begs the question, ‘Why did it go up in the first place?’ The ‘boycott gas on May 15th’ e-mails are already flying around and although many dismiss this type of attempt at addressing the issue, myself I applaud it. I like to see Americans taking a stand and it is time we took a final stand on the price of gas and oil in America. If the lack of refining is the real culprit then why have we not built more refineries in America? If Ethanol is the answer then why hasn’t the government forced gas stations to have more E85 pumps at their locations? Tell me, just what is the answer> Is it that big oil is like outsourcing big business in America? Screw the poor and middle class and let the rich fend for themselves. Corporate America wants you to turn the other eye on outsourcing just like big oil wants you to shut up about the price of gas. It’s not right and its time Americans make a stand.

Free trade in America has actually resulted in legalized slavery in developing countries. Previously in America Cathie Lee Gifford, and Nike, and many others were ostracized for being associated with sweatshop labor. However, now in America big business has resorted to seeking out the sweatiest of sweatshops it can find and this is just not right. How can Toyota make so much profit when it does all of its work in Japan and the United States? Fords is outsourcing everything under the sun and they are still failing as a business yet Toyota is thriving. Could it be that its not the cheapest labor but the best labor? Corporate America has us thinking outsourcing is the answer but it is not. Similarly, big oil has us thinking the high cost of oil is justified, and similarly it is not.

Both outsourcing and high gas prices are an exploitation of Americans. What big business and big oil is relying on is that you and your friends and family will be too lazy to fight their ways and you will acquiesce to their demands. Are they right? Have you just given up like a pansy?
