Terrorism Comes To Fort Dix New Jersey

For all of the debate about the billions we are spending in Iraq and Afghanistan look what just happened right here in the United States. The federal government Monday charged six alleged “Islamic radicals” with plotting to kill U.S. soldiers at Fort Dix in New Jersey. We hear so much about how we have to fight them over there or we will be fighting them right here in America, well what just occurred? Maybe we need to spend more on making sure the right immigrants get into the United States and less on fighting wars for other countries and governments. Three to four of the Islamic Terrorists caught were I nthe country illegally, maybe this shows that we need more immigration help in America and less soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. If we can’t keep radicals out of America how do we ever think we will in Iraq and Afghanistan? It’s time we focus more domestically and take care of America, that is how we will be safe and protected, not by fighting for foreign interests.

Reportedly the six Muslim terrorists were arrested Monday night, according to the U.S. attorney’s office in New Jersey. The U.S. attorney’s office stated that “Their alleged intention was to conduct an armed assault on the army base and to kill as many soldiers as possible.” The White House said there is no supposed link to any international terrorist group but Washington also said on Monday that the incident which occurred on Monday was not terrorist related until they changed their tune on Tuesday.

We have spent billions in Iraq and we almost got thwarted by a pizza delivery guy. This is no knock against pizza delivery guys, or the efforts on the war on terror. What it is, is the opinion that maybe we need more support for domestic efforts in the war on terror and less over in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Reportedly one of the suspected terrorists was born in Jordan, while another is from Turkey, and the rest are believed to be from Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia is another country and region where we spent billions to no avail in regards to Islamic extremism and terrorism. Maybe its time we focus our efforts right here and take care of American concerns over that of foreign interests and outsourcing businesses.

Many say it is big business who is forcing politicians to support the global war o nterror as a way to offer global protection to their cowardly outsourcing ways. Is there truth to this angle? More and more it seems possible.

The filing against the potential terrorist states that they “conducted firearms training in Gouldsboro, Pennsylvania…they conducted surveillance at several U.S. military sites: Fort Dix and Fort Monmouth in New Jersey, Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, and the U.S. Coast Guard building in Philadelphia.”
