Who Is Worse, Halliburton Or The Slimy Gas Stations?

The sneaky little bastards waited until May 2nd to jack prices over $3 a gallon at the gas stations, they should be ashamed. Further shame should also be thrown upon American big business with the recent revelation that Halliburton has been working in Iran the past few years while all the while knowing that Iran is probably the world’s most ardent sponsor of state terrorism. Reportedly Halliburton drove through the Iran sanctions loophole with a foreign subsidiary but this does not make it right rather it shows how the globalization of the American economy has turned big business into greedy slimy bastards that actually may have jeopardized Americas’ own safety. It also shows that politicians are not doing their job as they should be. I say that enough is enough and our elected politicians need to enact policies that protect America from gas gouging entities fattening their obese pockets with what little money we have for driving and also stop American businesses from profiting in countries with hostile intentions towards America.

You should be shouting from the rooftops every day since gas hit over $3 a gallon. Why should you be hollering? Because the cost of attaining a barrel of oil is the same now as it was when oil was $20 a barrel. You are being gouged by big business and big oil, they’re lobbyists have greased our politicians and rather than have you focusing on their gigantic profits they get their paid crony politicians to make you look in another direction or for another problem to focus on. It’s a shame and any politician elected recently should either make an immediate change in American energy policy or they should be voted out in 2008. It’s time we hold our politicians to the same standards we live by. No spending what you do not have and make sure your actions are for the better of you and your family which to the politicians should be the American citizens and not gigantic global businesses.

Americans always say what can I do, what can one person do? That is why we support Voteswagon, it’s to let Americans know that their one say, their one opinion, can make a difference. You just have to take it on yourself to speak to others about the policies, the problems, the issues. Furthermore, you need to contact your local politicans and voice your opinions with them as well.

$3 a gallon of gas is shameful and the White House should be embarrassed. They should be embarrassed because they do not have a better energy policy to control this outrageous occurrence and embarrassed because they have not done more to curb the yearly gas gouging of their fellow American citizens. Why do they let oil companies put it to us every year during the holiday seasons? In addition, companies like Halliburton need to be called to the carpet and asked why they do business with hostile countries, it is just not right and should not be forgotten.
