Lets Have A War On Outsourcing, Not In Iraq

If we cannot set a timetable can we at least have the benchmarks of how we can judge when we have won the War in Iraq? If we cannot set a time, and we cannot have benchmarks, how will we ever know when this is done? I also wonder how much more money Americans will have to sacrifice for a country so ripe with racism and discrimination? We fired Don Imus for only a few unkind and unfunny words during a talk show known for edginess and humor. In contrast we pour billions into a country where they kill each other for their varying belief of Islam and where almost all Muslims kill Christians and Jews just for being Christians and Jews. With so much up in the air and so much racism how can we ever judge when this fiasco will end?

Americans are growing tired of the war regardless of what the Republican hype machine tries to do. Americans are tired of job losses based on outsourcing. They are tired of the rising cost of their health care. They are tired of their rising cost of gas and oil. And they are tired of their federal and state programs being cut because the government has cut programs to fund this ridiculous war in Iraq.

We all support the soldiers and to tie the support of soldiers to the support for the prolonging of this war is both idiotic and un-American. To try and pressure us into submitting and falling in line with the ‘Support the War’ mantra is not fair to Americans and politicians who try this tactic should be ashamed.

I give soldiers cuts in line at the local store, I always give them the right of way, and I donate to any charities I am aware of for them. I support the American soldiers as much as I can. However, I do not support the war any longer. I want the soldier to come home, and that is how I support them. I want them home as valued warriors, not used as night watchmen in some overly racist civil war.

It’s time to bring our soldiers home and spend our American tax dollars in America. How about a war on outsourcing and job loss, that’s a war I think we would all support.
