Michigan Lays Off State Troopers, Iraq Sucks More Cash

The state of Michigan is having to lay off almost 30 Michigan state troopers at the end of March because the state does not have enough money to continue to pay these troopers, is this what a safer America has become? How can any American politician justify sending one dime to Iraq for Iraqi safety when in Michigan we are relinquishing our safety and protection by a reduction in police safety? I think this is a very legitimate question and one that deserves an answer. How Michigan citizens pay a tax and the tax then goes to fund Iraqi projects while the Michigan taxpayers lose the security of a fully staffed state police force? How can this ever be logical or acceptable?

I know everyone is sitting around watching the NCAA basketball tournament but when some thieves break into your house and steal our television and stereo who will you call? Are the cowardly Iraqi soldiers going to come here to America and get you back your stuff? Come on, these idiots drop their panties when anyone wearing a scarf or veil says boo. Regardless, American taxes need to be spent on American protection and not Iraqi carpet markets and donkey stands.

It is totally unacceptable that proud American policemen and woman have to be laid off while we spend billions in Iraq. Can anyone tell me how safety in Dujibalabad is more important than my safety right here in Michigan? And what’s next, are their children going to be more worthy of vaccines then our own children? When does this end? When will someone actually stand up for Americans and do something for the proud citizens of America?

Talk about March Madenss, even the NCAA college basketball bounces more straight than the situation where American states have to lay off state police while we fund police forces in Iraq, this is so idiotic it is unfathomable. I sure hope the politicians we elect in 2008 have more Americansism in them than the ones we curretly have.
