Barack Obama announced his potential run for the Presidency in 2008 and many say he is a strong candidate. Do you really know barrack Obama and are you ready for the new ideas this inexperienced candidate offers? Barack is an opinionated Democrat who is not afraid to put his policies out in public for scrutiny. Barack has toned down his fieriness and fierceness in the past few months and many believe this is because he does not want to alienate a large potential voting base. Will the Presidential politicking actually change what is considered to be one of the few decent politicians in Washington today? Many also say that the Hillary Clinton support split by the Barack Obama support will split the Democratic Party and give the Republicans a slim ray of hope for the next Presidential Race. Many say that whatever side wins the Presidential nomination may actually galvanize the other side and thus cause many Democrats to switch support or not vote at all. Can the Democrats actually become the political Yankees in 2008? Will they be loaded with stars and yet miss out on the big victory? Many are asking, ‘Where is James Carville when the Democrats need him?” I also wonder why African Americans actually question Barack Obama’s blackness, what type of question is this? Is this really how far we have come as a nation? The said the same about John Kennedy as a Catholic and he turned out pretty well, could Obama be next?
Barack has sponsored over 150 bills while in political office. Barack has spoken out against politics as usual in Washington and he is actually using his potential inexperience in Washington as a potential benefit by pointing out that he feels he has not been jaded by political greed and lobbyists. Barack Obama speaks loudly about professing his religious belief which helps make him more amiable to liberals and conservatives. Obama also has made a connection with many Americans by stating he hates the ways and means of Washington and he wants to enact a change.
Barack Obama is the bi-racial child of a mixed marriage and he is open about discussing the bi-racial childhood he experienced. Obama is also open about his dabbling in drugs during his youth and he openly explains why he tried them and why it was wrong. The man does not appear to dodge the hard questions and he appears open to most invasive questions. With all of these open attributes he will be a very favorable character. However, we must remember that there is Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, and John Edwards waiting in the wings and it will be interesting to see which two emerge as the political ticket in 2008. Could we see an Obama\ Clinton or Clinton\Obama ticket in 2008? Maybe James Carville is already working on it.
I realize this comment is dated, nevertheless the subject matter is still very much current.
President Obama and Vice President Biden are both asking us for ideas conserning the CREATION of Jobs. On March 2, 2010 Pres. Obama is scheduled to attend a meeting in Savannah,Georgia and Rev. Logan has not received an invitation.
No one in the entire United States of America has a better proposal than the job creating initiative embodied in Rev. Logan’s plan for rebuilding this country’s infrastructure.
If you cannot help make this association occur, then please present a case as to why it should not occur. It is vital that Rev. Logan and Pres. Obama or V.P. Biden should meet in the same room at the same table.
