Pollyanna For President Won’t Get My Vote

Why is the Presidential race in 2008 so much bout Iraq and so little about Americas’ domestic problems? It’s ridiculous to watch Meet the Press or Face the Nation and listen to these politicians say how the war on Iraq is wrong and they were wrong four and five years ago. There is no talk about job losses, budget deficits, and failing civil services. There is no talk about problems with education and federal aid for natural disasters. Are these idiots running for President of America or for President of the Middle East? Personally my vote will go for the guy\lady who actually starts telling me what they will do to improve American lives and not the lives of millions of non-taxpaying racist sectarian maniacs spreading idiotic idealism throughout their own little part of the world. How about doing something for the decent citizens of America? There are plenty of good and hard working Middle Easterners right here in the United States, how about helping out these individuals? Let’s get focused on America and quit trying to Pollyanna pollyann-icly save the world.

When will Tim Russert interview a Presidential candidate who says he\she will create more jobs in Detroit and Flint and Toledo and Madison and Minneapolis? Why is there so much focus on Aba-Dabba and Haji-Sheik and so little on Chicago Illinois, Tempe Arizona, or Ann Arbor Michigan? I thought the President of the United States was responsible to the American taxpayers, I did not think he was responsible to try and solve every other countries unemployment and political issues.

The Republicans as well as Democrats better watch out. As they bicker foreign policy the American unemployment rate is creeping back up to almost 5%. Both sides better address this issue much quicker than they should the war in Iraq because as America loses more and more jobs we will vote with our pocket books more and more and this will devastate any incumbent regardless of their political affiliation.

Lets meet the candidates but lets have the candidates focus on Americans for a change. Presidential 2008 candidates should take care of American business first and foremost then take on the rest.
