Toyota is building in America and is selling in America, how can it be that a foreign country better understands business in America than Americans? Have we drunk so much Chinese Kool-Aid that we forgot how to make American businesses competitive? The new economy is cause for new direction and America needs to get it in gear. The law of supply and demand is about the only economic law still not tainted by the world’s new economy.
Modern economic equations are being rendered almost useless by unfair foreign trade practices and product dumping schemes. Ratios such as profit margins, total cost of production, and average material costs were at one time the yard stick by which companies made decisions whether to operate or shut down. However, with the advent of modern slave labor workforces throughout India, China, and the Far east, the old economic models are almost rendered useless and if the world does not address the issue soon the economic stableness the world has enjoyed for the last 100 years will be thrown into chaos and all of the counties involved in global trade will feel the repercussions.
Numerous idiots have said the market will correct for the shenanigans prevalent in modern global business but these corrections are usually based on sound economic models and not unfair and illegal trade. If the world hopes to continue on a positive path to prosperity for all it needs to address the irregularities and illegalities of its current markets and it needs to address these issues promptly before the situation worsens.
The economy is managed and maintained based on sound economic theories. However, when the economy becomes unstable based on illegal and immoral actions the future for the economy becomes skewed. Economists begin to provide erroneous data and decisions are made based on erroneous reports and information. In layman’s terms its like trying to do algebra on a calculator that is broken, you can input all the information correctly but come away with gobbly-gook. The new form of globalization is functioning much like a broken calculator and if it is not reigned in soon the effects will begin to have extreme consequences on countries throughout the world.
America, China, India, and Russia are all big enough to absorb the inaccuracies of a confused economic outlook but smaller countries will be thrown into turmoil and many of the European nations already facing high unemployment will be provided with a devastating setback. You cannot control that which you have no idea of and the true economy is no different. We need to get a handle on tariffs, unfair trade practices, price dumping, monetary manipulation, and slave labor corporations. If we get these issues under control we can begin to make sense of the modern economy and develop a true outlook that allows all countries to prosper and not just the ones willing to succeed at any cost regardless of illegalities or human issues.
