Saddam Hussein Can’t Hang Around Forever To See Iraq Rebuilt

Saddam Hussein got hung for his crimes against humanity, the pictures prove this. Saddam was a terrible leader and a vicious dictator. However, dancing and celebrating his death is almost as despicable as the crimes Saddam committed himself. I understand the feeling of satisfaction those affected by Saddams’ brutality feel. However, watching Arabs dance and celebrate in Dearborn Michigan was a very weird experience.

I hope the world moves on and is a better place without Saddam but when I see and hear stories of people dancing in celebration of an execution it brings me to pause. I am just as happy as anyone else that Saddam was brought to justice, I am also glad he cannot hurt any further people. However, I take no joy in seeing him put to death. I may be glad he has been punished but I don’t think I will dance a jig in celebration. I also wonder why the Iranians were so happy to see Saddam executed, what is there stake in this? Many say Saddam was as hard as he was because he felt paranoid that Iran was always trying to infiltrate his country and execute Saddam themselves. Now that Saddam is gone Iran feels even more like it won a little more of a victory in Iraq.

Saddam has been punished and most of us believe he was punished rightfully so. However, do not lose what makes you better than people like Saddam. You should resist the urge to celebrate and make jokes about a mans death. Rather its better to say a prayer to God asking that the world never see another man like Saddam again. We must also ask ourselves, now that Saddam is gone does that make Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the next vicious dictator ruling in crime and fear? Have we removed Saddam and left another dictator just as vicious in power? Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said he is dedicated to seeing the destruction of Israel, should we wait until Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reaches Saddam proportions before we address him properly?

We can take solice in knowing that justice prevailed and a bad man got punished but as far as celebration goes, that should only be reserved for those who lost a loved one to this vicious maniacal bastard. We must also remember that it was the United States who brought this man to justice and made sure he received a fair trial. So many Arabs are celebrating Saddam’s death but where were they when Saddam was in power? Why is America hate in the Middle East so much when I see so many celebrating the fact Saddam was executed and he was executed because of American actions. For all of the tough Shiite talk I now hear I do not recall them ever doing anything to remove Saddam prior to the Iraq War.

I think the Shiites need to remember who their friends are and quit being so manipulated by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as a way to have Iranians interests carried out.
