Forunate Sons Still Bouncing Around In America While Less Fortunate Die

While politicians through interviews throwing around slogans such as ‘cut and run’ and ‘we won’t leave until the jobs done’ young American soldiers are being put in harms way. Slogans to politicians are living sons and daughters to thousands of Americans. When these slogans die the dreams and hopes of families die with them. Is your Childs death worth the perceived saving of face? Is never saying goodbye worth the payoff in Iraq? If it was your son or daughter who was going to be killed tomorrow would you still support the saving of face today?

Many feel its time for Iraq to take responsibility for its own security and future and I believe I am starting to agree wit them. I ask myself, would I accept the death of a brother or sister in support of this failed Iraq policy and my answer is no. When a son or daughter dies in Iraq there is a family back here in America who will never get to see their loved one ever again. If Iraq wants to be a sovereign state it will have to suffer much like America did through its battle of independence and civil war.

America made it through these trials with little or no outside help so why should Iraq be any different? We have suffered too many deaths already and sacrificed way to much money, its time we just end this failed policy and save the lives of our soldiers for their loving families back here in America. Not one more American arm, or leg, or life should be lost in Iraq from this day forward.

We did what we said we would, make sure WMD’s could not be used against America, now its time to bring our soldiers home. These soldiers are humans not targets. Not one more brother, sister, mother, or father should be returned without arms for a hug or legs to walk on. Its time to end this failed policy and bring home our soldiers.

Its easy for us here in domestic America to just turn the channel, or flip on the stereo when we tire of Iraq. However, the brave men and women serving in the armed forces in Iraq do not have this option. They stand brave for a policy which is failed. And although the policy is flawed you never hear these soldiers complain which makes me even more adamant about brining these brave souls back to our homeland before one more idiot targets them in Iraq. We should not disregard the actions of our soldiers, they deserve much better than they are receiving. These soldiers have done their job proudly and they should not be left out in the rain because American politicians do not want to lose face.

I tell you what, let each Senator, Congressman, President, and Cabinet member put their brother sister son and daughter on the front line in Iraq and lets see how much longer they want to save face. Its o.k. for Joe Palooka from Nowheresville Oklahoma or Jane Noone from Somewhere Wisconsin to die to save American face but put a Senators son or daughter in harms way and the story will change drastically. If the Bush twins were checking tripwires in Fallujah do you think we would still be in Iraq? What if Cheney’s daughter was in Sadr City on night patrol, do you think we would still be there? Maybe, maybe not but I bet you would get a much speedier conclusion to this war.

You should also take the time to visit our brave soldiers at sites such as Arghh, visit them and speak openly with them. They are honest and appreciative regardless of your position.
