American Taxes Should Not Fund One More Rebuild In Iraq

I don’t want to hear anymore Democrap or Repulishing about rebuilding efforts of infrastructure in Iraq when right here in Midwest America we have a power and phone system that can barely stand up to a mild winters breeze. There is no justification for spending American tax dollars in Iraq prior to resolving our poor power infrastructure right here in America. Hundreds of thousands are without power for days and we as a country do nothing to improve the situation, we should be ashamed. We need to have new power lines, buried power lines, and flexible power lines. We also need newer phone lines and newer phone polls. While we are at it, how about bringing America into the new century by laying some high speed backbone throughout America? Why is our American Government investing so heavily in everything and everywhere but America? As Americans we should demand our tax dollars be spent on what they were made for, the American people. I do not think the founding fathers wanted to tax Americans to send the money overseas, how has this become the norm? I think it should end and end immediately. America is crumbling like a stale cookie all the while the cooks are in other rooms tending to everything but America, if we were an Apple Pie and Government was the cookers we would all be burnt before anyone noticed we were even cooking.

I understand the rest of the world has problems but the rest of the world does not pay American taxes. It’s hard enough to get a job and even maintain a job but when you get taxed you believe the tax dollars will return to you in improved roads, buildings, government, and civil services. We cannot refuse to pay American taxes to Government so how can our Government refuse to spend our tax dollars on us? Where is the logic? When did my taxes become charity and aide? If my taxes are aid then I want to give it to the Salvation Army and my local soup kitchens. I would much rather help a fellow American before I would rebuild a road in Iraq utilized by extremists who would love nothing more than to kill as many American taxpayers as possible if they could.

When this war was sold to the American public we were assured that Iraq could fund the war soon after it began, where has this promise gone? If Iraq cannot fund itself that is not Americas’ problem. Do they give us breaks on oil when we need it? I don’t think so and neither do you.

Your tax dollars should be spent in America first and if there is any left over then we can spread some of the rest. However, American taxes should be for American lives, it is not for goodwill charity to other countries hostile to America. Bring our soldiers home and put them back to work in America. Bring our dollars back home and put them to work in America as well.
