Gay-Bobs or Just Gay Bob’s? Depends On Your Position.

Average Joes in Midwest America have simply stated that New Jersey gave the Gay-Bobs in the Garden state the right to be husband and wife. Average Joe’s in California feel that what happened in New Jersey was wonderful. Average Joe’s in the Bible belt are appalled and say that Gay couples are an abomination and they want the ruling overturned immediately. So where does America stand on the Gay issue? Is the decision based on religious values? If so, who’s religion? As Islam propagates throughout the world the Gays should have a concern, in Islam Gay men and woman are destroyed. Islam considers Gay actions of either men or woman an abomination to God and they consider it their duty, their Jihad if you will to end the life of a Gay person. Gay individuals may think they have it tough in America but as Islamic influence spreads they should beware, Islam will never accept Gay Rights and most feel the majority of other religions in the world will not accept them either.

Is Gay Rights an issue that should decide elections in 2006? Some say it is an issue that should be addressed; others say that the economy and the war in Iraq is all they really care about. With Gay Rights issues pushed to the back burner we are no longer concerned with them. However, the Gay community is as dedicated as ever to get their agenda accepted and while the world deals with other issues Gay individuals are still pushing hard for their policies. In America the issue seems to only heat up at election time and once again we are hearing arguments and debates about Gay Rights issues, just in time for the 2006 elections.

Is this issue a dead horse or are their legitimate concerns about the Gay Rights initiatives being bandied about once again? Are these issues important to you or do you just dismiss them and move on to other concerns you have? Could Gay Rights initiatives sneak right past us if we do not pay attention to them?

It appears in reality that the main individuals who care about the Gay Rights issues are the two groups most polarized in their stances. On one side you have the Gay Rights advocates who are sometimes referred to as Gay-Bobs, Fags, Lesbians, and Dikes. On the other side you have the Religious Right, also sometimes referred to as Whack-Jobs, God-Squadders, Hypocrites, Nut-Jobs, and Holy-Rollers. Both sides have their message and both sides have their rhetoric; both sides also have harsh words for the other. Can these sides ever find a common ground? Most believe not. Does their position matter to you in this election? That is a good question.
