President Bush is wasting time with he said she said arguments when what he really needs to do is get down to work on addressing Americas’ competitive nature in the new world. The war on terrorism is important but the war on the American economy is equally important, if we become the Russia of the new decade we will be much more vulnerable than if we did not fight the war on terror at all. Anyone with a brain knows that Bin laden is hiding in one of these two countries so all of the pomp and circumstance for the leaders of Afghainstan and Pakistan is really just a joke. Major elements inside both countries still sponsor and support terror and that has not changed one iota since the war onterror began. Therefore, I hope the President moves on to something much more constructive and beneficial.
President Bush said that allies must strategize together to defeat terrorism but in reality both Karzai and Musharraf are not concerned with terrorism, they only want American business and aide. President Bush is being treated like a girlfriend who is being cheated on by a high school hunk. He is being told all of the right things but the minute these two leaders leave his presence all that they did and said will be of no meaning. President Bush can hold all of the meetings he wants but in reality nothing is really changing and this is just the sad true fact.
A much better war on terror is to make America economically strong, this is what the terrorists do not wan to see. By making America strong we thwart the terrorists attempts to destroy our country. However, by wasting resources on useless policies we are doing exactly what the terrorists want, we are weakening our country. The President is so focused on terrorist that I feel he is not seeing the big picture. His tunnel vision has distracted him from what is really occurring. The war on terror is draining America and its resources and this is making America weak.
