What Americans Really Want This Election

The American public has spoken on what they feel is most important to them and at least it appears that American businesses have gotten the message. However, our elected politicians still have not seemed to figure it out and if they don’t get it right we will still have the same domestic problem, ‘The American Domestic Economy.’ That’s right, as much as the Republicans want to persuade you of what is important to you, you did not waver, you kept your opinion and you kept your ideals and now it’s up to the Republicans to respond. Just watching television it is obvious to see how Americanism is growing once again. Numerous commercials speak throughout the commercial of how American, or American made, a product of theirs is. However, we need our politicians to enact more legislation which makes domestic America more competitive and I hope that the politicians elected this year hold true to our wants and desires.

The globe is changing and military might is not the only deterrent in the new world. We must also be economically strong if we hope to wield any influence in the new world. No one will listen to you if they do not respect you and it is also in this area that America must once again make gains. We need honesty and integrity and we need to show that we care about our own citizens so that we show reliable character. We need new politicians that understand they must put America first for both Americas’ reputation as well as their own. People loathe sell-outs; they consider it a sign of weakness. With the American politicians selling out to foreign countries with so much free trade and lax legislation, we have lost our global credibility. Numerous countries now feel that if America will sell its own out then what won’t we do? This needs to be stopped and this attitude adjusted. We need to stay strong and show we care about our own.

In numerous polls we have shown that the domestic economy is our utmost concern. The President can hoot and holler all day about terrorism but putting bread on the table is what matters to us most right now and no partisan rhetoric is going to change this. If any Republicans, or Democrats, want to get elected and stay elected they better think twice about where their loyalties lie.
