Trade Deficit Symbolizes Foreigners Buying America From Us. Wait Until They Start Changing Your Life

The Federal Trade numbers have been released and ‘Yes’ this sounds like the current economic plan of free trade is working to me, NOT!. Oh my God, the numbers are once again astronomical and they are worsening. What is the deficit you ask? How does it affect you? Well, the trade deficit represents the total the United States must sponge from foreign countries to cover the shortfall between exports and imports. It’s like borrowing to pay for your gambling debts; we all know where that leads. The Republican Presidency, Congress, and Senate all push for more Free Trade but we are seeing more and more how this is a failed policy. And don’t think the Democrats are hands free; they are the ones who pushed the devastating NAFTA onto us. Add all this up and we are sinking fast, we need immediate and long lasting action not temporary band-aides. The current Trade Policies are damming America and we need change immediately. By the way, did you notice that the violent crime rate rose again. Has anyone noticed that as the trade deficit has risen so has our violent crime stats? Maybe President Bush needs to put us to work before he has worse problems here in domestic America.

Democrats are hoping to take control of the House and Senate during the approaching congressional elections; they are basing much of their hopes on displaying to their American public just how bad it is under the current Republican leadership. They contend that the towering deficit figures are verification of how the Republicans free-trade policies have failed America. The Democrats say that the current trade policies have left domestic American workers vulnerable to unfair trade practices from predatory countries throughout the world. The Democrats advise that current Republican policies account for what is the loss of nearly 3 million manufacturing jobs since President Bush took office in the year 2001. Do they have a change in mind? They better.

The United States has reportedly recorded a record deficit on investment flows of $4.2 billion. What this number means is that foreign investors earned more on their investments in domestic America than Americans earned on their investments overseas. In actuality, they are buying up our future and our future opportunities. The sad part of this is that it is predicted that the trade deficit is expected to grow in coming months. This growth reflects the growing amount of domestic America that is being transferred into foreign ownerships hands based on the huge trade deficit.

How much longer before everything we have is owned by a foreign country? How can we say buy and build American when our own Government is selling us out right out from under our own eyes? The day of reckoning is coming and your children may be the ones asked to pay back for our current transgressions. We need to fix this problem and fix it immediately. How can we condemn China when they are starting to own our very asses? How can we berate the Middle East when their sheiks are buying our countries bonds? How can any proud honest American accept this, I do not know.
