The NBA professionals lost in the World Basketball Championships but if you listen to them they were the winners. However, this is the problem with America, specifically economic America. Domestic America takes the bronze medal and says it could have had the Gold if it wanted, or really tried. The American NBA stars sent their best and got beat but they still think they have no room to improve, nothing to try harder at, no need for a better game plan. However, they finished third and much like domestic America, they are getting beaten regularly. I believe its time to change the economic game plan much like the NBA players need to wake up and realize they are losing also.
We sent the best, LeBron James, Carmello Anthony, etc, etc… but we still lost, our best was not good enough and to think otherwise is a dangerous mentality. America routinely says all is well when in reality we need to be more desperate, more concerned. How many times can we get the bronze before we start to feel it? To many it is just a meaningless basketball game but to others it’s a symbol and to say we won when we lost is a travesty. Has the Bush legacy become this type of legacy, ‘You are a winner, if even in your own mind, if you say it enough.’ I hope not, I hope he has a better legacy to leave us with.
Take time, look at domestic America, demand more from your politicians, you deserve it. Don’t let them tell you we are winning when we are only getting the bronze. We deserve a better workplace environment in America and we should have it. Don’t fall for the all is o.k. line, demand the game plan gets changed and lets make domestic America the Gold
