Do You Feel Safe Or Not?

The five year date of September 11th is closing and can anyone actually say America is any safer now than it was prior to this date 5 years ago? I understand we are waging wars and conflicts in response to terrorism in several countries throughout the world but with all honesty, can anyone say that America has anything other than a huge federal deficit to show for its actions the past few years?

Democracy was supposedly on the march two or three years ago but we have seen that this slogan had more snap than substance. We see that America is weakening as an economic power while other countries rape and pillage American business and markets. To further complicate the matter is the lax policies America has in place to stop outsourcing, these bastardous outsourcing whores are enabling work forces throughout the world who when they are not at work are at terrorist, or terrorist style, meetings to discuss how to hurt any Western interests in the world. How can we waste soo much fighting a war that our businesses are actually supplying assets for? Go figure, I mean really, can anyone tell me of any tangible improvements to America since the fateful events of 9-11?

The five-year anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks are approaching and we have attacked everything and everyone except the actual individuals responsible for the terrorist attacks on our domestic soil. The leadership of the original Al-Qaeda is still pretty much in tact and the terrorist network is still reportedly humming along. A recent CNN poll showed that nearly three-fourths of those responding to their poll said they believe Osama bin Laden is planning another significant attack against the United States. The CNN poll also showed that seventy-four percent of the 1,033 adult Americans polled said they believe an attack is being planned, the poll was conducted by Opinion Research Corporation on behalf of CNN.

President Bush is tromping throughout America trying to raise support for Republican candidates, he is touting the Republican efforts on terrorism as he tries to rally support for Republican candidates. However, Democrats have strong ammunition to fire back and they are utilizing every opportunity they have to display to America just how un-protected we are and what a sad economic state President Bush has put America in because of his so-called efforts on the war on terror.

Like President Bush said, “You are either with us or against us.” That appears to also be the opinion of political pundits who say that the debate of how safe America actually is appears as divided as the Democrats and Republicans who are spouting campaign rhetoric about their own position on the topic. In the end the decision is up to you in regards to how safe you feel. However, we must make sure that whoever wins the 2006 elections have Americas’ best interest in heart. We need politicians who will make domestic America safe as well as revive the American economy and job market.

  1. Interesting.
Nevertheless, I think that in today’s environment, and having learned our lessons from Katrina, every citizen should take responsibility of his own life. We can’t just wait for someone to come and rescue us should something happen.
On the other hand, taking a few proactive steps and being ‘prepared’ can be fairly simple and not time consuming (just do it once!). Once we have done our own little efforts for our own sake, we will no longer be paranoid and will be able to continue living a normal life. Check out http://www.technonllc.com/pd1
