Forget The Middle Man, Take Care Of Fellow Americans First

Reportedly President Bush is considering sending economic aid to those in Lebanon. Why is he so concerned with sending American taxpaying dollars abroad when they are so rightfully needed back here in the domestic United Sates of America? Jobless rates are back on the rise in America as well as the danger of insolvency for certain civil programs and all I hear about is the need for more investment in the Middle East, do we really need to invest so heavily there? Why can’t we take care of our fellow Americans and share the rest if it’s available? I pay my taxes to support my fellow Americans, not countries hostile towards my being. How dare this President, or any President for that matter, take my hard earned tax dollars and spend them overseas. I want my tax dollars spent on America. There is no reason we should have a deficit if we can afford to just give away hundreds of millions of dollars. How about paying off our deficit first then worry about the rest?

The issue in Iraq, the situation in Iran, the conflict in Palestine, the conflict in Lebanon, and now the reoccurring violence in Pakistan and Afghanistan. These are all areas we have spent hard earned American tax dollars the past four years with nothing to really show for it and now when America needs its resources the most you want us to give more? Come on, how about looking out for your fellow Americans a little mister President and members of the Congress and Senate?

Let’s make America an economic power and not just an economic consumer, let’s make America competitive and not just another competitor. How much rhetoric can we take before we get tired of the same old same old? It’s time we our proper treatment here in America and that can only happen if you voice your opinions to political candidates running for election in the 2006 elections. I am tired of world headlines being our domestic headlines, its time we make America the leader and not the victim. I am tired of hearing about terrorist attacks, job losses, business insolvency, and federally funded program collapses, I want positive-ness for America and I believe this election is a good opportunity for this.
