Republicans, Democrats, Who Is Lying, Who Is Speaking The Truth?

Dick DeVos is taking a hammering in Michigan for among other things, the fact he could not name a Detroit Tigers ball player when asked by the Teams broadcaster. However, knowledgeable voters are also considering the Republicans history with Amway and the fact that DeVos runs commercials in Michigan showing Michigan manufacturing workers out of work complaining about the state of Michigan when in fact DeVos reportedly laid off American workers while at the same time creating the same jobs in China. Many see the actions of Republican candidate Dick DeVos as disingenuous and many undecided voters are saying that it is this type of Republican trickery which is actually hurting Michigan and its economy soo badly. Voters throughout America are seeing the same issues in their local elections, Democrats are blaming job losses on what they call bad Republican business politics, Republicans are stating that Democrats are utilizing backward mentality and this is hurting certain areas of the economy, where is the truth and how do we know what is the truth? You have to be involved to know.

DeVos will definitely suffer in Michigan because of his association with the Amway Corporation, which is now referred to as Alticor, Alticor was the parent company of Amway from 1993 until 2002. Democrats are hammering home the fact that during DeVos leadership he presided over profound cuts in the work force of the company which at the time included 900 Michigan layoffs in the year 2000. Many have also pointed out that candidate DeVos has repeatedly advised that Michigan needs investments in the state for new business but Democrats are qwuick to point out that recently DeVos’ company invested more than $200 million in China. This strikes as very disingenuous and does add credence to the Democrats rhetoric that Republicans tell American workers one thing but in reality they do another.

Recent polls show a swaying of the tide in Michigan, at one time DeVos was way ahead of Democratic Governor Jennifer Granholm. However, new reports show that Michiganders are feeling slightly betrayed by the Republican statements and they feel that Republicans’ are more responsible for job loss and outsourcing than the current Democratic Governor, this has caused a recent surge in support numbers for Jennifer Granholm..
