Israeli Soldier Should Not Be A Political Pawn

Let me see if I understand this correctly. Israel is under constant barrage by rocket attacks, its citizens live under constant fear of suicide bombings, and now its people are kidnapped from their sovereign land, and somehow in all of this we are supposed to take the side of Palestinian Fundamentalists? I find this hard to believe. Years and years ago I used to sympathize with the Palestinian people, I never have approved of their tactics but I felt for heir human suffering.

However, when I see the ordinary Palestinians interviewed on the street and they say how they want the kidnapped Israeli soldier to be terrorized, tortured, and punished, I begin to look away and actually reconsider my thoughts and opinions about the Palestinian cause as well as the Islamic religion in the Middle East.

I sometimes wonder if individuals are not manipulating a societies religious beliefs for strictly political gains, I also wonder how any civilized country such as Europe, America, or Australia, can do business with people who support torture, kidnapping, be-heading, raping, and child slavery, as a way of life.

The curtain has been pulled back, no longer can Muslims say that they do certain things because it is their religious way, we cannot and will not accept atrocities supposedly committed in the name of a cause or religion, the world needs to put an end to this and Islam needs to be held accountable for atrocities in much the same way that Romans, Moors, and Nazis’ were held accountable.

The world is a civilized place in most areas, I think the fact we try to globalize the world so rapidly is what is actually causing problems such as the Arab-Israeli conflict. As every country in the world tries to expand its economic power and influence throughout the world we are devastating ancient societies by forcing them to radically come up to speed with the rest of the world, hence you have Islamic militants carrying around shoulder fired rocket kits, automatic machine guns, and reportedly chemical weapons. No longer do countries talk; they immediately resort to economic sanctions then violence, what does that tell you about our way of rationalizing and resolving conflicts.

The Palestinians have unique groups such as Hamas, and Jihad, which will not think twice about utilizing these modern day weapons to carry out old style vigilante style crimes.

As the world turns we need to slow down our thirst to globally conquer it with economic might, we need to allow civilizations to evolve normally and show concern for the effects of culture shock on societies. If we do not control ourselves we will have Arab-Israeli outbreaks throughout the world. We will always have the haves and have nots, we need to teach them how to get along as well as stop exploiting the have nots as a form of cheap slave wage labor.

Is selling a few more tennis shoes, or a cheaper circuit board, really worth the price certain countries are now paying?
