New Orleans Violence Could Be Headed Your Way

As we address the war on terror we must not forget the Americans back home, domestic America needs more attention and the issue of violence and lawlessness in New Orleans is just the tip of the iceberg if President Bush, and the rest of the American politicians, continue to let the American economy, and the American quality of life standard, completely be ignored. How many American jobs have to be outsourced before you have groups of unemployed youths start to resort to this type of violence? We cut education, we cut health care, we outsource our jobs, and then we wonder why certain depressed areas become violent. Come on, who is fooling who here? We know the issues, its time we hold our politicians accountable. They need to enact legislation that makes America more competitive, this will create more opportunities for young Americans and it will keep them from violence and crime.

Recently, in regards to the city of New Orleans, Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco said she would begin sending National Guard troops and state police to patrol the streets of New Orleans. This is in response to the raising crime rate that is affecting the area. Individuals returned to the area in the hopes of attaining new jobs to help wit the reconstruction. However, these jobs were outsourced to illegal immigrants because they were supposedly jobs’ Americans won’t due’, or so the President says. With a high unemployment rate, individuals in the area have resorted to lawlessness and violence to earn a living. The Louisiana Governor recently stated, “The situation is urgent…Things like this should never happen, and I am going to do all I can to stop it.” The statement was made in regards to recent violence in New Orleans.

As the Bush Administration pats itself on the back for its recent progresses in the Middle East, they should hold their heads low in regards to he collapses of many major urban American cities that are vastly under funded and filled with corruption. President Bush cannot manage every major city in America but he can create policy that makes America a more hope-filled place, young Americans need to see a future that is opportunistic, not feel that every job skill they learn will be outsourced to another country.

Send a message this election, ‘Vote the bums out.’ Let’s get a Congress, and Senate, that cares about domestic America more than just domestic American businesses.

  1. You are right, our politicians need to get Americasn working for American companies in America. For too long have we been silent about companies saying buy American while they build foreign, we need better tax laws to make America a more sound business entity domestically. I applaud your efforts on this endeavour
