War on Terror Needs Tougher Tactics, Better Results

The war on terror is costing millions by the day; many believe a can of raid appears to be a better deterrent than the current policy we are undertaking in Iraq, and Afghanistan, and the cost savings of a can of raid way outreaches the millions and billions currently being wasted, I mean spent, in these countries. When allied forces attack, these cockroaches (terrorists) scramble like the apartment lights just got turned on, sure they are out of sight but in reality they are just lurking in the closet, or under the sink, ready to resume their activities the moment they believe we have taken a rest. We have been in Afghanistan for 6 years now and what do we have to show for it? Why are we really there? Is this just a haven for the next future wave of outsourced cheap slave labor? Is this what it is all about, just finding some more customers to buy our cheaply made goods, and to supply us with another source of slave labor? What is really going on and where are the tangible results? We must also consider the cost to future Americans, every dime spent on the war on terror is depriving your child of better health care and an improved education, is the war worth the price?

If one man, Al Zarqawi, can cost us 500 million to capture, or kill, then how can we afford this war for much longer? If there are tens to hundreds of these Al Zarqawi types running around then how many of them can we afford to catch, or kill? Are these jokers just like ants, step on a hundred of them and tomorrow there is another hundred doing there job the next day, how do you beat them? If a few thousand can hold on for 6 years in Afghanistan then how much longer will they hold on in Iraq? Do we really have a winning strategy or is it just a slow bleeding one?

Recently in Kandahar Afghanistan, Taliban fighters ambushed two convoys carrying members of the same family in southern Afghanistan, killing 30 people. In a separate incident another convoy attack occurred which involved a former district chief in the Helmand province, the attack left the ex-official and four of his bodyguards dead.

The U.S. forces are doing the job they were sent to do, they are not the issue. The problem is the weasily politicians who are allowing a failed strategy to be administered. We need a strong handed strategy that will allow us to win this war and exit this area. The war is taking a lot larger toll on the American country than we are currently feeling right now, we need to get out of this situation and get domestic America strong once again. A strong fiscal America is a deterrent to all other would be terrorist countries.
