Don’t Let Politicians Sell You Out This Year

Note to all politicians: In regards to manufacturing, I say they should sell what they build in Mexico to Mexicans living in Mexico, why should we buy cars made in another country? Toyota builds what they sell right here in America, why can’t American manufacturers? The American government should enact legislation that encourages companies to build and sell domestically; they should place a large tax burden on any imported items. Feed a man he eats today, teach a man to fish he eats everyday, outsource his job and he and his family starve.

The 2006 elections are coming around and President Bush has advised reporters that he has no problem making his progress on the Iraq War an issue; he advised he is proud of his record. The question many are asking is if he is proud of his domestic record as well. President Bush has presided over the largest loss of jobs in history. He can blame the businesses directly but indirectly he could help alleviate the issue by enacting legislation that helps keep work and jobs in America.

Many say this is protectionism but to this I ask, ‘What country does not protect its own?’ Why is America always ripe for the picking and no one else? If President Bush wants Republicans in office then we want legislature in our government which protects us. America was raped by corporate greed which devastated the stock market, now we are being destroyed once again by CEO’s who allow businesses to freely import slave labor products for distribution to Americans, this vicious cycle has to end and America needs the politicians help to end it. We need help and we need it soon, if you want our vote then tell us how you will keep us working.

The corporate selling out has gotten so bad that the Oakland Press outed Ford Motors, and American icon, by producing a ‘For Fords Eyes Only’ document which detailed how Ford Motors planned to eliminate American jobs while jumping south of the border into Mexico. How dare they tell us buy American when they betray America. I have no problem with build it and buy it, but I have a problem when you build in one country and well it in another. I say they should sell what they build in Mexico to Mexicans living in Mexico, why should we buy cars made in another country? The American government should enact legislation that encourages companies to build and sell domestically; they should place a large tax burden on any imported items.

Is there anyone left with the balls to stand up and make America great once again? Did we sacrifice so much during WW2, Korea, Vietnam, and the Iraqi wars, just to outsource our heart and soul away? I don’t think so and hopefully neither do you. Do what you can and help others understand, they must only support politicians who will help domestic America, if they want your vote then it’s about time you get something in return.

  1. Most of the countries that we trade with have protectionist policies in place. Its not wrong for Americans to enact laws that benefit Americans. Free trade is anything but free. It costs us dearly. Adding tarrifs to foriegn made goods would go a long way to leveling the field so American manufacturers could compete. Not to mention that even if Americans decided to buy the foriegn product the U.S. Treasury would still get a share. We dont need a disappearing tax base when this country is already in debt to the tune of 8.5 trillion dollars, thanks to our Congress.
