Democrats In Glass Houses Should Not Throw Rocks

Bizarro Robin Hood has been nailed in congress and he is not fessing up one bit to any perceived deeds of misconduct. How can our trusted officials so easily rob from the poor while catering to the rich? Easily, we are too busy just trying to make it by -to even notice, or so most believe in Washington. It used to be said that you could only trust a politician as far as you could throw one; this was very shortsighted and fraught with stereotyping. However, the list of felons, or perceived felons, on Capitol Hill, and throughout the federal Government, is growing and both political parties need to get their house in order before the 2006 and 2008 elections.

The Democrats are trying to run on a platform that says they will clean up Congress and the Senate while restoring dignity and morals back to politicians. However, the Democrats are getting as dirty as the Republicans are and we should not accept either party just because they are the lesser of two evils. The American public does not want name calling, finger pointing, or blame assignment, we want justification, reasoning, and reliability. We are being sold out by corporate America fast enough; do we now have to be worried about political sellouts and thieves as well?

Recently federal agents searched the Capitol Hill office of a Louisiana congressman who is considered to be under investigation on bribery charges. Reportedly the federal agents found $90,000 in cash last year Representative William Jeffersons’ home in Washington.
According to reports there is a 95-page affidavit which was used to obtain a warrant for the office search; investigators stated that an August 2005 search of Democratic Rep. William Jefferson’s home turned up the cash sum in a freezer.

I guess this is where all typical hard working American citizens keep their cash, frozen in the freezer right next to the broccoli and cauliflower we all love to eat. The best part is that Representative William Jefferson is pleading innocent to any and all charges. He advises through his attorney that all will come out in the wash and he will be vindicated. How delusional, or stupid, does this man think the American public is?

We may be gullible at times but we are not this naïve. We can see criminal activity when it is this obvious. Federal agents advised the judge that the money was reportedly a part of a $100,000 payment that had been delivered by an informant in an ongoing. The bribery probe has already produced guilty pleas by a Kentucky businessman and a former Jefferson aide.
