Brother Can You Spare A Dime

This is no Hurricane Katrina but let’s just see how the United States Government steps up and addresses this issue of another natural disaster occurring within the United States. Individuals in Massachusetts are dealing with a devastating amount of moisture as well as horrendous living conditions throughout the water drenched state, what will the White House do to assure these Americans are well taken cared of amidst this natural disaster? When natural disasters hit places like India, Indonesia, and Africa, we are swooping in with support before the last drop of water touches the ground, I think our own American citizens deserve as much if not better.

All across northeastern Massachusetts, thousands of people are evacuating areas fled submerged with swelling floodwater. The area is experiencing the region’s nastiest flooding in almost a century. Reportedly over foot of rain fell during the weekend in some areas, more rain is supposedly on the way but at much smaller levels than has been down falling the past few days.

The issue is not the amount of devastation, or the type of devastation, it’s the Governments reaction to it that is vitally important. The country needs to be reassured that American citizens are top of mind to this Administration, a view many feel is not reality.

America has seen so much loss of integrity recently based on issues such as outsourcing, foreign wars, insourcing of illegal foreign workers, and lack of natural disaster assistance, that the American citizens are watching the Massachusetts carefully as a way to gauge their apparent value with the current Government in place running the United States.

Massachusetts is not the only state in dire need of assistance; the storms have flooded and swamped large parts of New England, and New Hampshire, even Maine is feeling the effects of the downpour.
