Presidents’ Pep Rally Better Have Substance

President Bush has a pep rally planned for Monday night, he intends on trying to really support in regards to the war on Iraq, the nuclear issue with Iran, the illegal immigration debate, and the oil energy issue. Many believe they already know what will be said, the same ol same ol which has gotten us nowhere. Many feel he will tell us we need patience in Iraq, diplomacy in Iran, expectation that the immigration issue cannot just be ended and that the guest worker program is a must, and that we must search for energy alternatives in the future. If he says all this then I say I will not vote for one Republican in the next election, we have heard all this before and it has gotten us nowhere, we need substance to these words not just more rah-rah speeches that produce nothing.

We have been towing the company line for sometime now and it’s about time we get rewarded. We have sacrificed so much for so many countries around the world that we are starting to hurt back at home. We are building schools in Iraq, and Afghanistan, while we are closing and consolidating schools here in America. We are giving field medicine to citizens around the world whose government openly confesses their hatred for America while we have millions of Americans who get turned away at our own domestic hospitals, how can this be?

We have oil standards that fall quickly by the wayside in modern America; we also have a Government that has done nothing to help build us more oil refineries when it is clear that is what is needed. They also stand idly by as the oil companies, commodities traders, and gas station owners, get rich off of our oil problems while the average American just struggles to be able to afford to drive to work and eat lunch each day. I be there are millions more Americans who now brown bag their lunches because the can’t afford gas and fast food any longer.

Lastly we have the immigration debate. No one has held anyone accountable for how so many illegals got her e in the first place. You don’t wait for your house to be overran with mice before you buy a better mouse trap, how in the world did this situation ever occur? Who is responsible?

If the President states these facts as said then you know this is nothing more than a Karl Rove Pep rally for the republicans, vote alternatively if you see nothing else but fluff and bluff, you deserve better.
