Local Gas Stations Prey On Oil Situation

I have purposely tried to leave the corner gas station out of the oil gouging issue recently because I believed they were just caught up in the fray. However, their recent acts lead me to believe they are just playing the public for a bunch of patsies. Case in point, gas went down almost five bucks in the matter of a week, gas stations only lowered their prices on average two cents. Gas rose two dollars last week and the price at the pumps jumped on average fifteen cents, how can this be? Where are he state Governors who are running for re-election? Don’t they think they should act on this? Where are the criminal investigations of these stations? I left them alone but now I see they are really part of the gouging catastrophe.

Numerous elected officials are up for re-election this year, they pander to our every fear but yet they show us nothing o substance. I say that if they fail to address the rising oil issue in America then we do not need them, vote for the other guy. Oil prices jacked up eventually slam an economy and with our economy being so delicately balanced right now we need more political action. We cannot have these greedy companies, and corporations, wreak devastation on our lives so they can squeeze a few more pennies from our pockets. We need help and we need action, this is why we vote for our politicians, they are supposed to protect and serve us so I must ask, “Where are they at?”

The 2006 elections are coming fast, make sure your elected officials know how you feel and where your vote stands on issues such as this and many others. The price of oil hurts but the fact that domestic companies are exploiting this situation hurts even more, when did our greed exceed our need to help our fellow Americans out. In better times domestic oil companies would cut prices and profits to help A,ericans out, “Where have all the good times gone?”
