Iraq Issue Up For Debate

We hear how things are getting better in Iraq and then we hear of the tens and tens of new car bombings that occur. Now there is an assassination of a member of the Iraqi Vice Presidents family, his own sister, and we are still to believe things are getting better in Iraq. Come on, we are not that stupid. They say that if you say something enough times people start to believe it, I don’t think that old adage is working in this example. Iraq is out of hand and growing more like the wild, wild, west each day.

The problem is that America is trying to play the heavy while restraining its lethal fighting force. We have turned the fiercest fighting force in the world into a group of stand around night watchmen. This is no slight to the night watchmen of the world but these are trained soldiers, they were sent there to win a war not sit around and wait. No one buys a Mustang GT to drive 55, we don’t need our finest and best just sitting around in Iraq waiting to retaliate. Let them go on the offensive, what is the worst that could happen? Our image over Iraq is already shot, at least let us put the pimp hand down a time or two and get this country straightened up once and for all.

When we first rolled into Iraq we had drive and determination. The world stared in awe at our ability to swiftly dominate. We had countries like Libya, and Syria, quaking, even North Korea began to rethink its posture. Then the occupation starts and our leaders begin to fail us. Their lack of good planning has America looking inept. Now suddenly countries are once again doubting our resolve and ability. Three years ago Iran would never have spoken up, now they mock us and openly state in the public media that we will not alter their policy one iota.

You want a winning strategy? Here it is. Unleash the fury, forget about this and that and just win the damn war. You can’t win it nice and neatly so just win the damn thing so we can move on. Our soldiers are the greatest in the world; they deserve a good fighting plan provided from our leaders. These soldiers have played all four quarters and they deserve the victory. Let’s get it together and win this once and for all. Then maybe the world will begin to shape up.

Maybe we should just send the brave soldiers at Arghh in and let them clean up this mess. I bet they would utilize the military right
