Bush Finally Gets Real About Illegal Immigration

I guess the May first strike date came a little earlier than many illegals, and those who support them, expected. The supposed threat of the ‘Day without Immigrants’ has been preempted by government action and I applaud President Bush, and the United States Government, for showing they will not be bullied by the same people they actually are trying to help and protect. How dare these people threaten the country that provides them with so much opportunity. I guess we now see that the inmates have totally not taken over the asylum and I for one am glad.

In the last few days federal immigration authorities have rounded hundreds and thousands of illegal immigrants at a variety of sites throughout America. The federal government also charged individuals of a large firm that employed numerous illegals. I think this will help out the situation immensely. We should punish the providers of this un-American behavior. How dare they sell out Americans for cheap foreign labor. Its bad enough we have to fight outsourcing but how can anyone compete with the insourcing of slave labor? If left to continue it will tear at the very fabric of Americas’ existence.

There has even been a recent discovery of numerous employment offices in various states who do nothing but offer illegal immigrants employment opportunities. The illegals show up and wait, then groups of them are purchased for a days work by an unnamed individual. These crews are growing in areas of various job markets ranging from construction work to electrical tasks. How ironic that in most cities we have to pull a permit for electrical work which may be performed by an individual who is not licensed nor even a legal resident of the country. Good luck with figuring out that one. .

It is not the greatest of news in regards to the illegal immigration issue but it is encouraging. Hopefully it keeps up and it gives us a reason to keep the elected politicians’ we currently have in place in their positions. However, we must also address how the situation got this bad in the first place. We must strive to sure up Americas’ borders.
