Islamic Terrorism Grows In World, What Can Be Done?

The worlds terrorism problems were thought to be only Americas but as we now see in parts of India, and Israel, the war on terror is alive and kicking in many countries and it is best to join up and enlist against this form of tyranny than do nothing, otherwise you will be consumed by it. Israel has been on the front lines of this war for years but many look at their position as different because of the whole Palestinian issue. However, in context, Israel is just another battlefield the war against extremism is being waged on. The problem with this war is that the radical movements usually target innocent civilians and unfairly, and soullessly, they kill innocents.

On Monday a suicide bomber killed nine people at an Israeli restaurant. Interestingly the bombing provoked differing responses from Palestinian leaders. The Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, condemned the Tel Aviv terrorist bombing. Conversely, Hamas politicians called it justified. How can the President, and the government, see such a horrendous act so differently? And what kind of government has Hamas put in place when they issue statements in support of suicide terrorist bombings which occur inside of other countries? How can anyone deal with this type of government?

I have heard the arguments before for justifying suicide bombings in Israel so do not bombard me with absurd reasoning. I merely want to know why a government seeking to be recognized and accepted in global politics makes such a horrendous statement as to say that the terrorist bombing in Israel is justified. How can any civilized country deal with such a government? There needs to be changes made to Hamas now that they want to be recognized and respected on the world level. They will soon learn that they are dealing with men in suits, not planting shrapnel bombs on busses. There is a whole different etiquette, and tact, they must learn if they want to be successful.

The blast in Israel marked the first time a suicide bomber has successfully set off a bomb in Israel since Hamas assumed leadership over the Palestinian Authority in March.

I am one of the first to criticize both Republicans and Democrats but give Bush credit, he seen the writing on the wall well before most in regards to the dangers of terrorism.

Discussion

One comment for “Islamic Terrorism Grows In World, What Can Be Done?”

  1. The Hamas government has called the attack a legitimate response to Israeli aggression.
This is a break from past Palestinian governments, which usually issued condemnations after attacks. Hamas does not recognize Israel’s right to exist and has not renounced violence.

This is a different kind of Palestinian group. They do think violence is justified in the war against Israel.
