Islam Shows Bad Side On Good Friday

While there is all this talk of how Western culture must respect Muslims and their holidays, look at the main new stories that occurred on Good Friday. Jesus is a very important figure in Christianity; he is also an important figure in Islam. Is this how the Muslims show respect on a revered holiday? Not to mention the idiot, I mean leader, of Iran calling for the destruction of Israel and basically saying it will come sooner than later. I guess that is what he means by civilian nuclear needs huh? Read these three stories as found oncnn.com on Good Friday and you can tell me what the meaning of a peaceful religion really is.

NEW DELHI, India — At least three people have been wounded in two explosions near New Delhi’s main mosque, according to media reports.
Police told Indian television that officials had gone to the Jama Masjid mosque in the old quarter of the capital to investigate Friday’s blasts, Reuters reported.
“We got a phone call and we have sent a team,” the officer said.
The imam of the mosque, Syed Ahmed Bukhari, could not confirm if anyone was injured, but fire officials told CNN-IBN that at least three people were injured and taken to a nearby hospital.
Bukhari said the first blast went off inside the mosque’s complex just after Friday payers at around 5:20 p.m. (1050 GMT).
The second detonated about 10 minutes later, he said.
Jama Masjid is one of the country’s largest and best known mosques.
It was built in the mid-17th century by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Its courtyard can hold as many as 25,000 people.
CAIRO, Egypt (AP) — One person is dead and more than a dozen others wounded in attacks on worshipers today at three Coptic Christian churches in Egypt.
The simultaneous assaults in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria were carried out during Friday Mass by knife-wielding assailants.
Police have set up checkpoints but the attackers got away.
At least two of 17 people hurt are in serious condition.
Hundreds of Christians have gathered outside the churches and some fighting is reported between them and Muslims.
The attacks came on what is Good Friday to most of the world’s Christians. Egypt’s Coptic Christians and other followers of the Greek Orthodox church celebrate the holiday a week later.
BASRA, Iraq (Reuters) — Eleven employees of a building company in the southern Iraqi city of Basra have been kidnapped and killed, a police official said on Friday.
The official said they were kidnapped on Thursday and then killed.
Gunmen have recently mounted a spate of raids on businesses in Iraq, kidnapping, killing, and stealing money.
Meanwhile, a roadside bomb killed two Iraqis and wounded four British soldiers near Basra on Friday, a British military spokesman said.
The Iraqis were killed as their car was passing by a British patrol targeted by the bomb, the spokesman said.
